Rockefeller endorses Obama

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- U.S. Sen. Jay Rockefeller is helping Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama increase his edge over rival Hillary Clinton.

The West Virginia Democrat endorsed Obama Friday, praising what he calls the Illinois senator's judgment on the Iraq war and national security issues.

Rockefeller is chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, but also says Obama is the best candidate to fight for health care, good paying jobs and energy security.

Rockefeller joins the ranks of so-called superdelegates to the Democrats' national nominating convention who have endorsed Obama.

When counting these superdelegates, Obama has more than 100 pledged delegates more than Clinton. He has also bested the New York senator in 11 straight party primaries and caucuses.

you kinda confuse super delegates and pledged delegates, and I think the count for his lead inn pledged is more like 153
