Clinton Pulling an Edwards?
Will John Edwards be throwing his support behind Hillary Clinton's Presidential campaign soon? Clinton will be doing a "poverty tour" ahead of the Ohio Primary. "Today, in the town of Hanging Rock, in the state's southeast, Sen. Clinton will for the first time devote an entire campaign event to poverty." Sound familiar?

Well it should since John Edwards spent his campaign touring the country talking about the issue of poverty. Is this a sign that Edwards may throw his endorsement behind Clinton, and at this point would his endorsement sway his supporters? Many people who were supporters of Edwards's campaign(myself included) have already chosen a candidate out of the two remaining.

Edwards hasn't given any indication of leaning towards either candidate, however he has had meetings with both and remained tight lipped. My prediction is that he will make no endorsement during the primary and only in the general that way he can obtain a position in the cabinet of either candidate. Personally I'm looking forward to the possibility of Attorney General John Edwards. ;)

I think that Clinton is mimicking what won Edwards the votes of the working class, the more independent(and somewhat conservative) voters... an issue that many many many people face in this country and that is poverty. Obama has also done it in some speeches but both Clinton and Obama have not focused on the economy, job loss, and poverty nearly as much as Edwards did.

1. Ava, honey, what are you doing over here in the very dangerous
jungle-like atmosphere of GD-P?

You get back to The Lounge before I tell Midlo and Matcom about this.

:hi:

2. At This Point Ava
all Edwards' endorsement means is one more super delegate-there ARE no more Edwards supporters who aren't sure who they want to vote for-I have no problem as an ex-Edwards dem with him following his own heart and will not criticize him if he supports Hillary even though I don't

5. Edwards is not a superdelegate as far as I know
I'm not sure an Edwards endorsement means anything at this point...

8. I would think his being an insider
of the party should qualify him for a SD vote NJS-either way his influence has abated considerably since he dropped out

6. I agree that Edwards will not endorse either of them at this point
And I don't think it would make much difference if he did. Furthermore Edwards did not win the majority of the votes of the working class- anywhere.

9. I hope Edwards does not endorse either one
and waits till the general election. I've already made my choice on who I am supporting and it will make no difference to me at this point who he endorses. Regardless of who he endorses, just in case, I will respect his reasons.
