March 23, 2004--In Minnesota, a state whose Electoral Votes the Republicans haven't won in a generation, Massachusetts Senator John F. Kerry currently holds a very slim lead over President George W. Bush, 47% to 44%.
That result is within the survey's margin of error and similar to the final election results from four years ago. In Election 2000, Minnesota went for Al Gore by a 48% to 46% margin.

Kerry's lead in Iowa is now ten times the amount that Gore won the state by in 2000.

Kerry's lead in Minnesota is also higher than Gore won that state by in 2000

4. Gore won in MN by only 2% because Nader got 5% of vote

Looks like 'other' is already competing with 4%.

On edit: Btw, I just saw the Kerry ad at the end of CBS news and it was VERY GOOD.

5. consolation from a nader supporter
as someone who was active in getting third parties on the ballot here, I can tell you that it looks doubtful that Nader will get on WV's ballot. The legislature changed the rules making access harder. So that may break the tie ever so slightly in your favor.

Like the DINOs they are, the wv made it possible for the GOP to still make the presidentail ballot here, despite the 9-11 NYC expoitatiofest nominating Bush after the deadline. In other words they change rules in favor of Republicans, but crack down on all third parties
