Business leaders agreeing with Kucinich about the Pentagon budget
Some well-known names here. Interesting that the 15% number was a point of agreement.

Our aim is to increase America's investment in programs that benefit our children (like schools, health care, Head Start) by cutting Cold War weapons systems and shifting the savings. That's just 15% of the Pentagon budget, but $60 to $70 billion available every year to meet children's basic needs.

4. Dennis Kucinich is not a "fringe lefty."
Thanks to you and the business leaders for helping to point this out one more time. :hi:

That mischaracterization is one of the saddest things about this whole primary season; that democrats have shifted so far to the right that common sense, priorities, and pragmatic action to solve problems have been characterized as "fringe left."

The party is at a crossroads, IMO. They can continue their shift towards the right, and 3rd parties will gain strength. Or they can reopen the tent and unify their members, gathering strength needed to make gains in congress.

Thankfully, the party consists of more than the most strident democrats at DU calling for those who don't think like they do to get out of the sandbox.
