1. Yes!
He asked the President for a briefing on terrorism and didn't get it!
Am I right? Then they had a meeting finally on Sept. 4, 2001

End of the Bush regime.

8. But but but, Cheney says he just wasn't in the loop
:eyes:

I doubt it's the end of the bush regime though, as much as I would like that.

11. Cheney didn't say why. The implication was a snotty suggestion
that Clarke is a disgruntled ex-whatever that has a bad attitude because he wasn't in with the big guys.:eyes:

5. Isn't it interesting
how the term "disgruntled" is used to describe people who speak out about a situation? Those same idiots dismissed Paul O'Neill when his book came out.

How many more insiders will come out before this is over?

10. Then ask if anyone in the Bush WH is filing libel charges against him.
That's your answer to those who claim Clarke is not being truthful.

13. I consider that the BEST evidence that the
CONTENT of his remarks is sound.

You know what they say: when you can't win the argument, when you don't have the evidence, attack the speaker.

7. .
Anyone else has the feeling that this guy (Richard Ben-Veniste?) really wants Condi to testify?
He also explicitely thanked Sandy Berger for coming, being the former National Security Adviser.

by giving his time to question Clarke in exchange to get additional time to question Condi.

Condi will be made a laughing stock if that goes on...

14. "disgruntled employee" doesn't work if you can't refute what they say
Shooting the messenger only works ehen you can cast a shred of doubt on the message. Problem for the bushbots is that two "disgruntled employees" (Clarke and O'Neil) are saying the same thing - Bush was obsessed with Iraq and was going to invade no matter what - and what they are saying is right in line with the other evidence - lies about WMDs, etc. They can throw out all of the spokespeople they want - not one of them has a shred of credibility left - Rice - no; Powell - no; Rummy - don't make me laugh - no; Wolfie - no; Bush - oh dear - no.

16. Shrub has a few nightmares
Richard Clarke, Howard Stern, Medicare

But his pockets are deep and November is a long way off.

His biggest nightmare would be a Kerry campaign that raised $200 Million.
