Sen. Christopher Dodd to endorse Obama
WASHINGTON - Democratic Sen. Christopher Dodd of Connecticut plans to endorse former presidential rival Barack Obama.

Dodd will endorse his colleague, a senator from Illinois, in Cleveland on Tuesday, according to a Democratic official close to Dodd who requested anonymity because no formal announcement had been made.

Dodd's support, coupled with his liberal credentials, could provide a boost for Obama as major contests near in big states such as Ohio and Texas on March 4. Obama has won some key Democratic endorsements in recent weeks, including Massachusetts Sen. Edward Kennedy, a close friend of Dodd.

1. Excellent, and that he's going to OH to do it is really good news
for the Obama campaign. That SD gap is closing fast.

These political whores deserve to have McCain throttle them at the polls...

Lets do what's best for Dodd and his cohorts and forget about the People who will be getting a Royal screwing!

Jackie Kennedy would be spinning in her grave knowing her grandchildren are leading their mother around by the nose. She hated politics and never would have allowed her children to get involved. She always called the press an politics a sewer over which she intended on building a bridge for her children to rise above it. Jackie had many acquaintances, most of *those* will claim they were very close to her.

hillaryis64.com

No, it's not her age when she can next run for President. She's the 64th senator from NY. If you want to dedicate a website to her, i'd suggest you snap that up soon.

hilaryis64.com

I'll send you the $5 to buy it.

37. She may have hated politics, but her kids did get involved
in their uncle's races and occasionally for others. In 2004, Caroline Kennedy spoke of how at 15 she rode her bike over to help John Kerry when he made his first run for Congress in 1972. (There was a cute picture of her and her brother from that time in one of the Kerry biographies.) JFKjr published a political magazine.

You read the OP wrong - Dodd is NOT joining Leiberman, who endorsed McCain - He joins Kennedy, who is the head of teh Democratic wing of the Democratic party.

5. I've always liked Chris. He's decent. Don't have any idea why he ran, though.
I'm guessing he did it for his kids to say "look, it's Daddy!" A good legislator for his state, but not a presidential contender. Glad to see him to do the right thing.

7. Another Endorsement....Former TX Gov. White to endorse Obama

Former Texas Gov. Mark White plans to announce his support Tuesday for Sen. Barack Obama in his pursuit of the Democratic presidential nomination.

White said Obama is a visionary who has set forth a superior proposal to reform the health care system. White plans to make his announcement at a Houston hospital.

"Barack's vision is exactly what our nation needs right now," White said in a statement. "Right now, Texas has the highest rate of uninsured in the nation. I believe that Barack's health care plan is the answer we've been looking for."

White, a conservative Democrat, was elected governor in 1982, defeating Republican Bill Clements. He served four years and was defeated by Clements in 1986. White ran for governor again in 1990, but lost in the Democratic primary to Ann Richards.

from the upcoming debate between White and Clements.

Boy those were the days.

I'm happy to hear White is endorsing Barack.

Brownsville
Harlingen
McAllen
Del Rio
Eagle Pass
Laredo
El Paso
Corpus Christi
and
San Antonio

That's where we need Spanish speakers appearing with or for Obama.

Teddy is still popular in South Texas, too.

I sure hope we're on the verge of taking the state back. We need to be able to win in 2010 on state races. We need the full coalition to do it. It was the first two years of Bill Clinton's first term that set up our losses in '94.

31. Yeah, Billbo's Third Way really worked out so well
I found it really funny in a sad sort of way, that Hillary is campaigning about ALL the wonderful things she's going to do to make changes for our country.

I can't help but wonder why her husband didn't do any of these things when he had 8 years to do something important.

Also when I hear her mention Walter Reed and the awful crap our toops were enduring and she didn't seem to know about it until a newspaper wrote an article about it. If the article hadn't printed the story do you think she would have known what was going on?.?.?
