29. Well, that does it!
After all the money I've dumped into "someone else's" campaign, he/she/it is only at 6.8%!

4. The cynic in me...
...thinks that a good many people might be asking themselves why they've been asked to sacrifice their sons and daughters for an overseas bogus military adventure. They might be interested in a President who puts Americans first.

25. Fact is
Most of the soldiers are from the south. They enlisted mainly to get help with college. Nobody thought some asshole would start a war.

According to Army Times, they've already turned against shrub. He won't be so anxious to count those overseas ballots this time. Sad thing is, and I hope I'm wrong, the worst is yet to come.

Lets all get out there and organize...organize...organize.

This reminds me of the '68 Dem convention, when the Yippie!s ran a pig(Pigasus) for prez. Well a pigs turd should be able to beat Bush!!

I'm a Dean man, and it's looking like we're picking up steam everyday. Lets start fighting. We've got a little over 8 months to make sure it happens.:toast:

:nuke:

Flush Bush:hurts:

16. well it's like this
The people polled in this survey (almost all definitely voting Dem) and those who we need to worry about in the general (not sure whether to vote Bush or Dem) are MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE. We're not assuming the words you put into our mouth (that doing bad in the Southern primary polls is a good sign) but what the other poster implied, which is that Dean clearly will have no trouble in the South, is something that this poll gives you zero bits of information about. Saying that these polls disprove the theory that Dean will be a disaster in the South is utter crap.

17. saying that Dean will be a disaster in the South is utter crap…
there is not a single piece of evidence to substantiate this claim.

in fact, all evidence indicates that Dean will do just as well if not better than any of the other candidates… after all, he's kicking their asses in every Southern state thus far.

41. excuse my question, but aren't southern democrats more conservative
in general than the average democrat? Isn't that the popular wisdom that tells us only a conservative Democrat can do well there? That's what people have been saying all along and now you are saying the average southern democrat is so liberal that their support is indication the candidate will not do well in the south over-all?

5. Love that Southern weakness...what happened to Clark????
Georgia is just a hop across Tennessee from Arkansas...and Clark has lost half his support from October...Kerry lost nearly half of his as well. They are doing just about as well as Joe Lieberman's losses in this poll. Implosion central it seems...John Kerry needs a couple more houses to mortgage.

and it looks like Not Sure has double the lead over Dean that Dean has over the other candidates. So congratulations, Dean has the most name recognition. I congratulate all you Dean supporters, and the media, you guys should thank each other because it's the cooperation that counts.

Answer that for me.
I think Dean will likely win the nomination, I assume that's the all-important fact you're concerned with above all else.
And unlike you, I can face the facts about what happens afterward.

28. What the poll shows
Is that people in Georgia really aren't close to making up their mind yet. So when you have that high of an undecided it has to give hope to all the candidates.

Edited on Fri Dec-19-03 08:21 AM by moz4prez
how is it silly? when was the last time a zogby poll proved prescient anyway?

on edit: they polled 277 "likely" primary voters. why should anyone from ANY campaign take this with something greater than a grain of salt? do you realize that approx. 111 of those 277 "likely" primary voters haven't yet decided on a candidate?

jesus christ. some people are really reaching . . . :eyes:

43. I used to live in Georgia
and it's a really good representation of southern voters. If Dean can do so well there I think he's all set with southern Democrats. If you see polling like this coming out of Mississippi and Alabama too, then Dean will fare well everywhere.

45. Well I still live here
And the only thing this poll shows is that democrats in Georgia which are in the minority BTW, haven't made up their minds yet.

To all Dean supporters: please review presidential election history! A Northeasterner against a sitting republican president who has a war story to tell, tax cuts(misleading as they are), I tell you honestly, Dean has no chance in the general election!
