Poll: Hillary's Support Dropping Among Hispanics
By Greg Sargent - February 19, 2008, 12:17PM
Ben Smith has a great catch -- the latest Gallup tracking poll shows Hillary's support eroding among Hispanics, a key core constituency...

Clinton/Obama were at 63%-32% among Hispanics on Feb. 5-9; now 46%-50% on Feb 13-17)

Gallup also finds that Obama has gained among middle-aged voters, women, and self-identified Dems.

Gallup's conclusion: Obama has cemented his status as the candidate with momentum in the race, "holding a statistically significant lead in each of the last three tracking poll results."

2. Wisconsin is made for Clinton
If Obama takes wisconsin, remember it's mostly white and middle class, wich should favor Clinton in a huge way, if he takes it today,it means a lot!

6. What's the matter with middle age/senior women?
Speaking as a senior Dem woman I am embarrassed by so many 'older women' following Hillary like sheep. Look how their support spikes when Hillary sheds a tear or 2. Don't they have a brain in their heads to at least have a reason better than 'I want a woman President'? I would like to have a woman President some day also as long as she is as good or better than her male opposition. Why are many women of all ages voting for her just because she is a woman?????

9. Survey USA's Texas poll shows a substantial lead for Hillary among Hispanics
Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 12:59 PM by NJSecularist
63-32 in favor of Hill.

I'm not entirely sure what to think of this new development. It might be an outlier.

Either way, Obama needs to focus on Texas Hispanics. Because Ohio, Vermont and Rhode Island all have very small Hispanic populations.

Yeah, I know, we're used to it, but at least this time we'll have made a difference in the outcome.

14. not just living people.
This was a great story from a few days back.

"Van Yahres made national news three days after his death when his obituary on Monday made a “late” endorsement of Barack Obama’s presidential candidacy by including a sentence asking friends “to make a healthy and significant contribution to the presidential campaign of Barack Obama.”

Van Yahres was a prominent Virginian Democrat.

FYI, Obama called his wife to offer his condolences.
