Cynicism is a sorry kind of Wisdom
We have been graced with some of them on this board lately, most of them inspite of
what is being said and what documents they have available, continue to distort the
truth about Senator Obama.

We know those on this board that continues on these trend, unfortunately, DU rules stipulates name calling.

Now would be the time to refrained from such antics as intelligence and at least pretend that they
care.

2. You should be thankful that Obama brings so many into your Party.

4. Actually, I was referring to the original post,
which is platitudinous and empty, not to mention repeated to death.

Having said that, I'm not sure if bringing freepers temporarily (i.e., until November) into our party is something I should be thankful for.

5. I don't think he's bringing freepers.
He is bringing new voters. Young and old, who have never participated in the political process. Some moderate pukes have crossed over. But the vast majority of his supporters are Democrats.

6. I dunno...many of these "new" supporters at DU bear an amazing resemblance to freepers.
They have dragged into DU every late-90s fascist talking point, even Mena cocaine and Vince Foster. They seem intimately familiar with freeper lingo--did you ever imagine you would see terms like "Billary" casually thrown around DU? They quote and praise the likes of Michael Gerson, David Brooks, Peggy Noonan, Charles Krauthammer, and Tucker Carlson and denounce people like Paul Krugman and Joe Wilson as "scumbags" and hacks.

Freeper is as freeper does, and an awful lot of these allegedly new people sound and act like the same old freepers that have been slithering into DU for years.

8. DU isn't a fair represntation of the populace.
I think the "infiltrators" here could be freepers, but most don't last very long.

According to exit polls, Obama is winning with Democrats. He gets a cushion from Indys. Moderate, fed up pukes round it up.

10. Since when reiterating another scholars point
become trite? Everyone on this board at some point or another quote and link others idea and thought.

The fact is, what has that got to do with the point I'm making, this is another method of using
semantics, whereas you take a view point and turn it into an attack.

So, point made and point taken, you've just made the E grade, for Effort.

7. No matter how cynical I get, I can never keep up.
It's bad out there, folks. And pretty words and "Yes we can" will do nothing to solve it. All this nonpartisan or "post-partisan" bullshit is only going to hurt us in the end. WE are the ones who keep giving. THEY (Republicans, corporations) are the ones who keep taking.

13. "The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it."
George Bernard Shaw, a far, far wiser man than Barack could ever "hope" to be.
