And sinatra had been put in charge of the talent for the jfk inaugrual ball. then bobby went after the very gangster that helped kennedy get elected in the first place. when jfk came to palm springs, instead of staying at sinatra's place, he stayed with bing crosby, to avoid the association with sinatra and the "gang" element.

sinatra, who valued loyalty to friends, never forgave the serial adulterer kennedy.

since the kennedy fortune was largely made running bootleg booze in association with organized crime, the ironies abound.

jfk was no angel. not sure I'd want to be compared to him and his set of family values.
