How a candidate runs their campaign is a good first sign of how they'd run the country....
...and based on that, Hillary would be a disaster.

Her campaign has miscalculated every step of the way.... now they're dumping senior staff, scrambling to find a state to stem the Obama tide, being reactionary to whatever the Obama camp is doing instead of taking initiative on their own.

The most important job of a President is hiring the right staff to run the federal government..... Hillary's hiring decisions have been abysmal.... starting with Mark Penn.

This campaign is window to how she'd run the country..... and it is why Democrats NEED to nominate Obama to have a chance.

1. Everyone talks about how Obama hasn't been asked the "tough"
questions. Well it seems to me that the reporters need to start asking her about the disaster that has been the management of her campaign. If that's her idea of leadership, and she's the nominee, we're screwed (again).

2. I thought that yesterday when details came out about the money and staff.
Clinton, for all she's built up over the years, should crush anyone who challenges her. She raised tons of money for her "war chest" and had a formidable ground game. The mismanagement of the $$ and what seems like lack of direction is troublesome. Hillary's top staffer (the one who stepped down) didn't even know her boss had lent the campaign money.

3. God that is so true. Look at the Rovian tactics that Bush used - why did anyone
think that this was a principled man?

4. It was always assumed that she would be the nominee regardless
I don't think her campaign had anticipated how strong and organized Obama is (despite his claims he doesn't like paperwork - well who does!). They thought they would see him off after the first round, supertuesday.
He has excellent advisors and he is in tune with what is needed in this country and the world. I have been impressed so far.

7. Kind of like how she couldn't anticipate Bush's actions after the IWR vote.
Not a good track record so far..

9. he's also not just going through the motions
I often feel watching hillary that she's some sort of automaton. Same cadre of advisors, same shills...as if they're in replay mode since Bill ran. Obama has succeeded because this is his journey...it really doesn't feel like he's following a game plan. I had the same feeling for Dean, but of course the press decided to bury him. I also think Obama is prob a tad more disciplined than Dean was in his campaign. Well, I'm a converted supporter at this point...

8. that's just your opinion
not accepted fact. There's a mountain of difference in running a campaign and governing. Bush seemed to forget that. I hope our party doesn't lose sight of that as well.

10. Bush ran a disciplined, successful campaign
That is no indication of how good or bad the candidate will be as President.
