I don't think for one moment that this will be an easy race to win.

I just hope whoever is the Dem Nominee can survive the divisions in the Democratic Party, and rally sufficient support to defeat a McCain Campaign which will be formidable.

But I'm starting to think that Obama can really pull it off. When people like my brother, who is nearly the complete opposite of me politically, say they will vote for him over McCain it has weight. A lot of people whom I never thought would vote Democratic like Obama and want something different. Someone young who has not been around Washington for years. McCain won't be a pushover but he will look like a decrepit old man, spouting off about ages past and cozying up to the biggest foreign policy disaster in our country's history, next to Barack who symbolizes youth and the future.
