She is the only representative of the Clinton family that I know will be in Madison, WI for now, so If I can Id like to ask a substantive question, while completely recognizing that she isnt her mother or her father. Any Ideas?

They just put their asses on the line (some of them) to bring us the news.

It's not like any of them are human or anything. :sarcasm:

If you ask her a policy question, you'll just get her mom's response.

So why are you going to a Clinton campaign event? To stir up trouble?

20. OK...and? I still don't understand your point. I am convinced that you are going there to start
trouble.

I could see if you were genuinely on the fence about who to vote for...and you were attending the event with Chelsea, to help you make up your mind about who to vote for. For example, there's no way I would attend an Obama rally. I know there is nothing he can say now, that would cause me to vote for him.

Since you're obviously in the other campaign's column, why are you going? To be disrusptive to Ms. Clinton's event?

22. Exactly! Thank you! I never thought I'd see the day when DU would become an apologist for someone
who called Chelsea Clinton, in effect, a whore.

It was just an amazing experience on here, to see people defending David Schuster, all because they hate Bill and Hillary Clinton, and their hatred of the parents transferred to the daughter.

Amazing.

24. Too bad you misinterpreted the defense.
Or maybe you chose to misinterpret it.

In either case, I didn't see any proof that people were defending Shuster "all because they hate Bill and Hillary Clinton, and their hatred of the parents transferred to the daughter."

If you have proof, I'd like to see it.

Speaking for myself, I defended him (and will continue to do so) because there's nothing I abhor more than people who try to squelch the speech of others, no matter what they say. You fight speech with more speech, not with censorship, whether that censorship is carried out by the government or a corporation or an angry mob of self-appointed Speech Police.

Amazingly, I have more than one channel on my TV. Others should look into this incredible advance in technology.

How did/do they feel about the sanctions against Iraq in the 90s?

Was that a good policy? Given all the deaths it resulted in (from the sanctions, not the following occupation), do they feel it was worth it?

When you say she is taking substantive questions, I don't know if you mean tough questions, or if there is the expectation, as some here are suggesting, that anything other than a softball question for Chelsea is being "disruptive."

Not in an angry tone, how do you justify all those deaths. But more open ended. How do you feel about the sanctions in the 90s, do you think they were productive or was the human cost too high, are they a model to emulate with Iran.

"human cost" is probably better than "deaths" - they probably would prefer the euphemism.

42. I met and talked to Chelsea when she was at the Hartford Ct event for the 22 Town Hall meeting last
week. She is such an intelligent young woman. She spoke more eloquently about so many of today's issues....than I've ever heard from Obama.
After our group had voted on our 5 top questions.....Chelsea kept reaching for more of the cards with questions and addressed every single topic with honest, forthright ideas and/or positions that her mother has taken on issues.
Yes, search for a meaningful questions....because this young lady has done her research and will truly amaze you with her knowledge on a variety of current issues and great responses.
I really enjoyed the few minutes we were able to talk.....she stayed after the event, giving us each a moment for a picture and then chat.....she never indicated she was in a rush to leave etc.

Shy and unassuming...I really liked the young gal and look forward to watching her impact on America in the future.

ps
My quesiton was about rebuilding our countries infrastructure...which would create good paying jobs.
I also wanted to ask about her Mother's position on Presidential 'signing statements' and the unitary President - her opinion of the Constitution and Balance of Power in the 3 branches of government..
