The Primary Cult
Cult, a funny term sprinkled like candies on a ice cream cone or in a Presidential run-off on a well embraced candidate. The truth of it all is indeed that the term cult can be used anywhere by anyone to cause turmoil and conflict all the while being accurate in it's usage. The word cult can separate those who are unknowingly responding to a arbitrary scenario. Every presidential candidate has a cult following, it is the essential form of what brings each derelict of the United States of America to the white house... an ability to raise the grazing sheeple into a devotional people of registered voting age. A cult is essential in any democracy, it is the impetus by which new things are brought into a world that infinitely changes and to bring about that change requires a cult of people who embrace the new idea, the new change, the new world. Albeit, how subtle?

1. No one who talks about "grazing sheeple" should pretend to have any regard for Democracy
Your OP is pure neo-con... this is the essence of the "Strausian" school that got us where we are.

(Strauss holds that the techniques of religion are necessary to controlling the dim-witted masses.)

2. No, I believe the problem here is that a stunted brain has grasped
a hold of some cultist Strausian ideology and is attempting to label the "OP" as a NEO-CON. The poster I am responding to has unfortunately not absorbed the "OP" and needs to once again read the "OP" in order to acknowledge the full impact of what was said. It would also be helpful if Kurt_and_Hunter (both of you) looked up the word cult and applied its multiple meanings to your diagnosis. Then take a bathroom break and if you are still feeling so "know it all" come back and post again.

3. you doubt the cult of personality?
No one can win without a following........no one running in this election really deserves the cult of following that one is getting....a sociology course might be called for...the media is calling all the shots here....yet hardly anyone is calling foul...Do you really believe that Hilary or Obama is really the right person for the job? Really ? REally? I don't.....we are being fed ,feed tainted with our lives. I can't believe people aren't calling foul stop the b-shit. when media states who or who cannot debate? When media creates the talking points? This is a media called election and why is that?? Because this is corporate runned world and the ruling elete will put in the next President and all you have to know is that person who wins is not your friend even if they fall within your cult okay world. Anyone who believe otherwise is in the cult of the United States is a free country and the best person will win the election by a majority of vote.........your accusations of someone being GOP is really ridiculous by telling the truth that you don't want to hear..........I'd be careful calling someone Gop when they have been on this site since early 2002.
