Dick Morris is saying on Fixed that since McCain has won, republican white men will...
Go in droves to all open democratic primaries like Texas to vote Hillary out. I don't really hold Dick Morris' opinion in any more regard than I do Zogby's, for instance, but it is an interesting question.

Thoughts? Will more republicans go into open democratic primaries now? Enough to make a difference?

21. The VP choice is STILL IN PLAY. There's a rumor that Romney is on the short list.
Anyone wanting to give "their guy" enough juice to put him second on the ticket is going to want to vote for Huck or Mitty.

Even though Mitty is out, his campaign is only "suspended."

27. He is halfway there. He is going to be the nominee.
The only question is, will Huckie be given enough clout to be a player, or will Romney?

Or will McCain just pick someone else?

31. I think Dick is right this time. Once Hillary is destroyed, they will NOT
vote for Obama in the GE. No matter how much the media pumps up the AA vote there are still many, many more white voters than others. And while we are jumping up and down about the numbers voting in the primaries, you haven't seen anything yet about what will be coming out of the woodwork if Obama is nominated.

29. Well Obama won 14 states on Super Tuesday to Hillary's 9
He didn't win 60% of the delegates, but it appears that he won more than her, according to a report by the AP today.

They tied in the popular vote.

6. or the other way around
republicans may think hillary is easier to beat than obama and vote for her to sink obama.

It just shows that republicans shouldn't be voting in our primaries.

16. Agreed (partially). Republicans - No. Independents - Yes.
If independents vote democratic in the primary, the chances are greater that they vote democratic in the GE.

Most people don't care enough to waste their time on this kind of strategery.

23. She brought him to Arkansas in the 80's
He was "Rove" before there was a Rove. Because you know, you have to "beat the brains out of your opponents". That's what she learned from their 1980 governor's race loss. THAT is who the Clintons are.

that she would lose against McCain, and Obama would beat Mccain.

15. Agreed, but many conservatives would rather take a chance on...
losing the election, as long as it means Hillary is gone. There are a bunch of posts on Redstate.com that express this sentiment. They usually start off saying that, "even though Barack would be a harder GE opponent, I just don't want to take a chance that Hillary could win..."

18. As much as I wouldn't mind that
Obama doesn't need that vote.

And I'm sure some ignores will reply - yes he gets some Republican and Indie votes, but he won't get this specific vote. That said, I wouldn't mind if this fantasy came true. Anything to help HRC realize sooner than later, that it's time to drop out to hopefully not fracture the party.
