1. Pretty much. Starbucks products smell like armpit sweat to me.
And I pretty much hate cults, though I used to dream of starting one to get free money off idiots.

13. Which half do you want tomorrow?
I have a lot of mindless tasks to accomplish, so I'll take the left if you don't need it.

19. Lost my reply --
kitten jumped on the keys. Short version -- Starbucks coffee has an underlying essence of fish. Don't know how they do it, and I've ground the beans, so it's the fresh stuff.

24. I can see that
It is some seriously funky shit, and it boggles my mind that so many can consume it gleefully. Of course, I think the same thing when I walk by a BK or Mickey D's.

7. Hmmmmm, reminds me of my aunt
My aunt is a religious right nut, she can't talk about her religious beliefs with out saying, "we're not a cult" every three minutes.

21. How many threads are they gonna post about this
cult shit? The first page of this forum is littered with them.

Maybe they were issued their orders for the day: Make fun of cults and Starbucks. Deny being cult-like.

It sort of reminds me of Scientology and psychotherapy. All the Scientologists denounce it in unison.

Oh wait, that's a lie, when I was campaigning for Howard Dean during a street fair, I stopped in to get a cookie.

I'm familiar with the line of thought that it is nasty stuff, but like I said, Jesus likes it.

18. Ugh, you cultists, going on about your new Messiah, Obama.
With your...your Starbucks, and your...fancy magazines. And your laptops.

I bet all you Obama supporters just love getting up at noon and strolling down to Starbucks to order your latte and scone, and get cracking on that great new screenplay that's gonna stand Hollywood on its ass. Of course you never get anything done, blathering on to your ghoteed friends about the latest Messiah of the week. So it's Obama now--who will it be next week?
