Vote for Hillary! Vote for Obama! (a mini-rant here, folks)
Ok, I'll admit right off the bat, that I did caucus for Obama the other day, mainly because I didn't have much of a choice - I was a solid Edwards supporter, even though I didn't care to admit it. My mom, who was with me, caucused for Hillary.

But the Obama/Hillary war on DU is getting way out of hand, and it's frankly disgusting, actually.

Just remember, once the nominee, whoever it may be, is selected, we have to unify ourselves and vote for the nominee to ensure a Democratic wave.

I don't WANT to see any more of that 'I won't vote for Hillary/I won't vote for Obama/I'm going Green' shit around here. If you can't take it, take a 6 week vacation from DU. I'm only reading GD-P because I have been through the Dean/Clark wars back in '04, and this is even worse than that. At least Skinner was smart to ban longtime DU'ers until after the elections were over (I was reinstated a month after the elections, FYI after I was banned).

You burn other people, you'll probably regret it.

That's just my rant. You may or may not accept the rant as gospel, but it's the raw truth.

2. I agree. The nitpicking of the candidates is disgusting and petty. Will only fuel the fire for the
McCain in the long run. Most of it is crap brought up the wrong wing anyways. Repeating it just makes it all the more worse.

3. It's pretty polite, actually
Democrats are far too averse to conflict. We need to toughen up, and this primary fight is a way to do that.

Everybody is familiar with the story of the guys who fight viciously and try to kill each other; then, when the fight is over, they go out for a beer. It's almost like the Stations of the Cross with some pundits. Well, that is exactly what we have to aim for, even if it is a horrifying cliche.

The inability to fight effectively has also led to the inability to join in solidarity. Both require a certain mental toughness. We have plenty of sensitivity, and it's not going away any time soon. We need to get comfortable inside the ring.

5. Spot on rant, Hawkeye.
I've been disgusted with the whole Clinton-Obama thing for a while now.

The feuding has cluttered up DU to the point where it's almost unreadable. Thank goodness for the non-political forums or I would have no reason to come to DU.

That said, I'll be voting dem in the GE for whoever wins the nomination. And for those who aren't going to vote for the dem nominee cuz it's not their candidate, fuck you. You want McCain/Romney/Huckabee choosing the next SCOTUS nominees? Cuz that's what's at stake here.

6. Like the scene in the movie "The Hunley"
in where the commander (played by Armand Assante) breaks up a fight between 2 of his sailors, he points out to the sea where the enemy ships are stationed and yells.
THE FIGHTS OUT THERE, SON, THE FIGHTS OUT THERE!
Hillary supporters, Obama supporters the fight is with John McCain and the Republicans! And America cannot have another four years of crazed right wing Repug rule!
