So why don't all you Michelle Bashers take a hike.

And there are FAR TOO MANY Clinton supporters here who won't even VOTE for Obama in the GE and would rather see a Republican in office.

The hypocrisy and idiocy of some DUers is simply astounding.

1. No one genuinely bashes Michelle - it is just to point out the hypocrisy of Obama for
calling out Bill.

2. Oh Please......You can't even compare the influence of Obama's wife
Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 11:09 AM by BrentTaylor
and the ex-President of the US. Are you really trying to make that comparison?

4. Considering Obama's supporters aren't calling talk shows claiming
Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 11:10 AM by TornadoTN
That they are glad Michelle will be back in office and touting how her time in office wasthe "good ole' days", I'd say your argument is moot.

Hillary uses Bill's record all the time. Bill was also President, which kind of makes him open for political discussion.

6. I agree. You are astounding
* The only "attacks" (note the quotes) I recall seeing on Michelle Obama stemmed from her refusal to commit to supporting Clinton is she wins the nomination. There was only one right answer to that question; she did not give it, and was rightly criticized for it.

* The number of people who won't vote for the other candidate if their own loses overwhelmingly consists of those from the Obama camp. Hell, the candidate himself says such things about his own supporters, so your comment there is simply way off the mark. Again, your own man confirms that one.

8. You are smearing Michelle Obama.
Awful Awful person.

Anyone with half a brain knows she was talking about campaigning for Hillary. Her kids come FIRST. Got it? She doesn't even campaign full time for Barack.

Lame.

12. What a bullshit assertion. If she were talking about "campaigning" she
wouldn't have said she had to think about Clinton's TONE.

What, if you like the TONE, suddenly child care isn't top priority???

That's a real pathetic pantload you're trying to shop!!!

13. Get a grip, please
She meant "support" as in simple support, not going out and knocking on doors and hading out buttons like the Spinmeisters suggest.

Even if we were to accept your fairy tale account, a potential presidential spouse should know how such things can be taken, thus she should have given a simple "yes" in response. This is what Clinton supports get at when they point at the Obamas' political inexperience. These are the types of dumb blunders (windsurfing, crawling around in a bio-suit, "I was for it before I was against it") that helped sink John Kerry in 2004, and is the type of Rovian shit that would be directed at him if he were to win the nomination.

If they can't handle it now, I shudder to think of them trying to handle it in the fall.

15. Do you need reading lessons?
The "gaffe" s the "best case" scenario, if your explanation is to be believed. I don't believe it at all; by directly addressing Clinton's "tone" and such in that response, she is clearly hesitant to support someone other than her husband in the general election.

So, I am "pounding" her for being petty, must as some of their supporters are around here.

I'm sure you will call her petty too, right?

7. "All of you MICHELLE BASHERS!!!!!!!"
Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 11:15 AM by MADem
Jeez, I'm looking around, I don't see a soul with a torch OR a pitchfork. No one with brass knuckles OR a baseball bat.

:eyes:

The hyperbole up in here gets....tiresome, sometimes.

When there's a continuous excess of High Drama, one tends to disregard it.

The auto-response of "BASHER" to any contentious or partisan discussion invites the deserved retort of "FUCKING CRYBABY" frankly. Attack the specific complaint, but leave that whiney "BASHER" word at home.

And that goes for all sides of every issue, not this one specifically.
