What ever happened to "One man, one vote?"

All these Super-Delegates, unseated delegates, different methods...I know they are not new. The power of the people is co-opted by concentrating any process where one vote becomes more powerful than any other one vote. Where is the mighty voice of the People? "We are at a place where we never have been, though we have gone nowhere."

1. Political parties make up their own rules

They can setup nominating rules however they want. Might not be fair, but that's how it is.

you could ask the same of people in Michigan or Florida, no? The party makes their own rules, the superdelegates ARE the party hierarchy, why shouldn't they have a vote, too?

Or maybe that is exactly what I'm talking about. Where do you begin to accept 'rules' that impose restraints on the very core concepts of your society? 'That's the way it is' is nothing but a cop-out and a surrender by the truly un-involved. Posting and blogging is SO easy for all of us...yeah, we want CHANGE...but we don't want to change anything.
