The SOS's website shows San Diego County as a whole going about 52% Clinton/42%Obama, but my District (within the County, and still represented by a Repub, Brian Bilbray)was: 47.7 Clinton vs. 46.3 for Obama. (Edwards got 4.6% and the rest a combined total of 1.4%.)

Hardly a blowout for Clinton here, and there are lots of Latinos in this District.

6. I think Obama is picking up support among Latinos...
Meaning that I think the Texas primary will essentially be a tie.

7. It was a primary
Republicans, who are the majority there, didn't vote.

It doesn't matter who voted in the primary there, what counts is the GE. If you think Obama can win that district, forget it.

8. I was simply comparing the Hilary vote to the Obama vote; it was effectively
a split.

Re your comment, however, independents (decline to states) were permitted to vote in either primary. The trend here in this District is increasing registration by decline to states (as well as some increase in Dems). My precinct (I'm captain) is about 1/3, 1/3, 1/3. Yes, it's still considered a Republican district but there are some interesting swings.
