Note to Obama Staffers: STOCK YOUR CAMPAIGN WEBSITE!

I'm scheduled to work a visibility event for Obama so I decided to go to their campaign store to stock up on stickers/buttons to hand out (I did this for Kerry/Edwards and you feel like your $ is going directly to getting the message out) and almost everything is out of stock. This may be due to his surge but someone in purchasing needs to get on top of this so us foot soldiers can help make a presence.

1. I agree with this. I was there last night trying to order items but

many of the items I wanted were out of stock. I did find some things to order but many are backordered. What I want to know is if you purchase these items do they go to his campaign donations? If not I need to know so I can donate directly to his campaign. I'm getting paid tomorrow and I plan on donating some big time money now.

2. Purchase from the Obama website store, are indeed counted as contributions to his campaign.

3. It appears you can't order backordered items-at least I couldn't.

They DO go toward your limit.

I live in Ohio and the Kerry campaign didn't set up shop here until May 2004, so a group of us who met at a move-on "bake back the WH event, would buy our own "chum" and got organized ourselves. I heard Obama's OH HQ is opening this Thursday, so hopefully they will have access to supplies.

4. Call your state's Obama headquarters...

They can likely put an order through for you.

5. An effort is neing made, but remeber that everything is UNION MADE

this isnt like walmart can order another crate from china.

A hugh effort has been made to find items and get them out to the people and local campaign offices.

This is what happens when you have this big of a surge in popularity so fast....It's a great problem.
