Please contact HRC campaign and tell them NOT to accept an invitation to debate on Fox News!
From the http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/02/05/clinton-accepts-fox-news-_n_85111.html">Huffington Post:
Risking the ire of progressive activists, Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign announced that it has accepted a debate to air on Fox News on February 11, according to her chief strategist Mark Penn.

"There is an enormous interest in these debates an clamoring on the part of the Democratic Party for them," said Clinton's spokesperson Howard Wolfson.

Also contact Barack Obama's campaign and urge them to maintain the Fox boycott.

And yes, I am angry with the Clinton campaign for this.

10. No.
Both candidates have given interviews to Fox Noise. That's not the problem. Neither of them have collaborated on a campaign event. The DNC called for a moratorium on collaborative efforts with Fox Noise and it has been honored so far.

20. Integrity when he voted for bankruptcy reform?
Integrity when he voted for the IRW?

Integrity when he voted for free trade deals?

21. Yeah.
He voted for those things. He doesn't pretend that he didn't nor does he pretend that he didn't know Bush would go ahead and invade Iraq.

He's apologetic about that. "I'm sorry." Apparently these words, despite being something a person with integrity says, are also a bad campaign strategy. Pity.

16. I hate to say this, but I think you're 100% correct
The Clinton campaign can do better. I really warmed up to Clinton during the last debate. Now I'm going cold again.

18. I LIKED HRC up until the Kerry botched joke
and defended her against the likes of Limbaugh by outing him as a fat junkie right here on DU a few years ago. This was BEFORE the story broke nationally and was in response to sick vitriolic statements he was spewing daily.I was an Edwards supporter up until a week before the Florida primary when my wife and I switched over to Obama. The Clinton surrogates here on DU were the final nail that did it for us...

7. A "boycott" here is pretty cowardly
Suppose he wins the nomination, and Fox News is up for hosting a general election debate. Is he still going to "boycott" then and suffer the withering criticism that will undoubtedly follow from the right?

Asking Obama supporters to cowboy up is asking too much, I know. But I certainly think Obama himself should rise to the occasion here and not continue with a petty Fox boycott.

9. The Fox boycott is working
Fox Noise is losing viewers and credibility. Fox has been a def facto Republican news outlet and it's time to treat it like one. We can let them report their biased news, but there is no excuse for teaming up with them on anything.

8. "Risking the ire of progressive activists"
May these be the same "progressives" that have been raking her over the coals for months on end now? Why should they suddenly be concerned of where she goes and what she does and with whom? Look at it this way, it will give the Ed Schultz & Co's of fringe left radio something else to bitch, whine and moan about.

14. Yes, I want her to go back on her "word"
The Nevada Democratic party agreed to a Fox debate and then decide to withdraw after drawing the ire of the grass roots. The Clinton campaign could do the same.

Do you think they're going to spend one nanosecond discussion the evils of Fox Noise?

17. Why not do a Fox debate - its the most watched News Channel - and Chris Wallace isn't the Devil!
A debate is a debate - and one on Fox would get a bigger audience!

19. It is no longer the most-watched channel
Especially for political coverage. CNN has beaten Fox mightily in debate viewership this cycle.
