Is it gone with the wind? Senator Clinton will probably win California and Obama will be back to voting "PRESENT".

62. Good lord, did they learn nothing from New Hampshire.
This election is far too volatile and fast-moving to be making bold declarations like that. I only look at the merged poll trends and multi-day polling averages.

How could their polling possibly account for the rapid ascent of Obama and his "supporters" uncertainty, plus the effects of the Edwards decision.

Obama the BIG LOSER tonight? Tonight proved that this nation is SPLIT... RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE. I do not think that either candidate lost tonight, or won, this is a frustrating race. Obama did well and his supporters should be very proud. I'm proud of my girl as well.

November. People talking about the two Dem candidates on the Nov ticket might want to appreciate that he was able to win some red states today.
concern about the south for dems in Nov is still there though.

20. 40% of Californians voted early by absentee ballot. Early voting began
in early January. That skews the results, lessening any current momentum or trends.

I haven't heard anyone in the news mentioning that.

resist the temptation to "return the favor" if you know what I mean. There was a lot of trash talking going on here by those supporters, I notice they're much quieter than the were a day ago--I think that stomping in Massachusettts took the wind out of their sails...

And they're calling

CALIFORNIA for CLINTON!!!!!!!!!

70. WE have written reports from monitors around the county. It will take us at least 2 weeks to read
them all. There are stories from CBS, I think, many voters called in to Thom Hartmann, and we have somevideos documenting the independents who couldn't vote for president, and thousands of dems were removed form the voter rolls.

I think Obama won tonight! It isn't just about winning the
big states, and the counting isn't done in California just
yet. Obama's risen from 37% to 40% just over the last hour or
so.

Here's the current totals from CNN:

TOTAL: 820 796

Delegates currently earned -> Hillary leads now 494-487
(seven delegates difference is what I'd call a dead heat).

72. As a Hillary supporter, I disagree. This is far from over.
We're seeing the tightening of a very close race. It's going to come down to the wire. The Democrats are divided. Unless we want to hand the Republicans a totally unwarranted victory in November, we need to come together and stop bashing Democrats.

It's one thing to support one's candidate. It's quite another to do the Republicans' work for them.
