UAW Will Not Endorse Clinton or Obama for Presidency

The head of the United Auto Workers says the union will aggressively work to elect either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama to the White House, but will not endorse either of them for the Democratic nomination.

Union President Ron Gettelfinger has told union activists meeting in Washington that "jobs are on the line" and the "stakes in this election could not be any higher."

He says workers will be motivated in November by the loss of more than 3 million manufacturing jobs since January 2001 and the closing of thousands of factories.
