A kinder and gentler Bill Clinton packed a university gymnasium in Republican-dominated Cobb County on Friday evening, explaining his wife Hillary's platform in minute detail — but only briefly, and politely mentioning her last remaining rival for the Democratic presidential nomination.
The former president — already slightly hoarse from a day of campaigning — outlined his wife's stands on health care, education, the home mortgage crisis and Iraq.
But in a 60-minute speech at Kennesaw State University, Clinton only made a single reference to Barack Obama, complimenting the candidate's performance in Thursday's CNN debate with Hillary Clinton. "I thought he did really well," the former president said.
