Tepid for Kerry
The Kerry camp has to allow people who only tepidly support him. After all, support is support. So let's hear the war cry of the tepids: Yeay, John! You're better than Bush.

13. Rainy Day in November
Both candidates are hoping for clear weather in November. If Republicans are actually enthusiastic about Bush, they are keeping quiet about it. Rainy weather will suppress the turnout and quite possibly affect the outcome.

5. Is anyone NOT allowing tepid support?
I don't think I've ever been super enthusiastic about any candidate. I'm just always pragmatic enough to realize that I have to vote for a dem if I want to get even half of the things that I want done.

I was "tepid" about Clinton but I think he's one of the best presidents ever. I was tepid about Gore but there's no doubt that he would have been a million times better.

17. What Kerry Stands For
Kerry stands for a little of this, a little of that. Not too much on issues A, B and C. Just enough on issues D, E and F.

He's an all around gentleman. A good guy. The Real Deal.

Once he's elected, you'll know. It's like the package under the Christmas tree. Open it up and you'll find out. Remember . . . you'll probably be pleasantly surprised.

9. I can't really actively campaign for Kerry
Edited on Thu Mar-04-04 04:26 PM by G_j
for unlike many politicians I can't look someone in the eye and act enthusiastic about something I am not enthusiastic about. HOWEVER, I will be passionately working to expose Bush for the lying cowardly criminal he is, and do not plan on letting up one moment.
That is how I can play my part and remain true to my convictions. It's not overt support, but support none the less.

on edit: also.. I will continue to urge people to register to vote.

15. Tepid Votes
Tepid votes count as much as fervent votes, if they are actually cast. For example, I can't imagine any Republican going out on a rainy day to vote for Bush. It takes all kinds, I guess. Some Republicans actually give money to Bush. Go figure!

12. Vote against Bush!
One day I might be inspired to vote FOR a Democrat instead of against a Republican, but until then...Tepid for Kerry all the way!

16. Depends Where You Live
If you live in a contested state you have to vote for the Democrat, it't the only responsible thing to do. But if you live where the winner will get 60% of the votes, send a message!

Personally, I am planning to write in the name "David Allen". This won't put Kerry's certain New York victory in any jeopardy, and it will encourage David Allen to entertain thoughts of a career in electoral politics.
