I will vote for Kerry but Right now I doubt that I will campaign for him.
He inspire me by his actions in the Senate and on the road not just his words. What little money and time I have I have to spend wisely. I am one of those that vote, not one of 48% that don't so as a consumer if the Dem party and Kerry by extension wants more than just my vote they have to sell to me.
My vote is the equivelant of buing something at a thrift store or Wal-Mart, generally quick and fairly cheap.
My time is the equivelant of buying at Jones or another higher priced shop, it requires more selling and committment.
My money is the equivelant of going to crown center and buying season tickets for the Chiefs. I really have to be sold on the product.
Kerry has not "sold" me yet.
His supports here are, on the other hand, not helping. I am and have been a DK supporter. I do not apperciate the venom focused on those that are not 150% behind Kerry. Obviously many of them have not been in retail or sales as they would have a hard time convincing an Eskimo that he needs fire. Instead of showing how fire would help and improve his life, they are saying "Just take the fire! If you know what is good for you, you will take it. If you don't take it or use heated rocks instead than you are a traitor and outcast of the tribe!"
Now is time for a soft sell, get those of us that are dissatisfied in the door before you try your hard sell.
