9. You know that old saw about the best avoiding politics?
The one where they avoid politics because of all the attacks and smears they will get from the other side? I imagine Al Gore probably feels that way when he gets attacks from Democrats who presumedly/supposedly are on the same side he is ultimately.
What did he do for Dean? I felt so alienated by his statement that the entire Democratic Party should unite behind Dean before even one vote had been cast. I felt that he had no interest in allowing the system to work.
ALSO, the more I learn about what happened in the 2000 election, the angrier I get with Gore for not fighting DOGGEDLY for our rights in that election. I don't think he should have walked away without fighting tooth and nail for every vote to be counted.
