Hillary or Obama? I'm still undecided
I feel kind of like a do-fess, because I really can't make up my mind.

Both candidates seem very similar on the issues. When it comes to elect-ability they both have strengths and weaknesses.

Obama seems to be very charismatic and garners optimism and excitement in younger voters. Hillary seems to be very popular in New York and her constituents seem very happy with her.

Both have positives and negatives, and I think for the first time I can't make up my mind on who to vote for.

8. Thanks.
:)

I'm not much for those ratings things cause they seem to lump all kinds of stuff together... but I'm satisfied that they're pretty equally liberal on enough stuff that I wouldn't have any problem voting for either of them.

10. Uncommitted is always an option
In a primary, you don't really vote for the candidate. You vote for a slate of delegates to the convention.

There will be uncommitted delegates, and you can vote uncommitted on the ballot.

14. Hillary can win in Florida Obama cannot, Many Southern states are winnable for her.
Obama has issues yet to be examined and the republicans are not afraid to do it.

Hillary has already been smeared and still stands!

HILLARY 08!

17. Obama is very good on open government and technology.
Lawrence Lessig gave him a ringing endorsement last November.

And there is other good info on that thread as well, if the topic of open government interests you.

22. I am sick of both of them.
I wish we had more choices. But the media is choosing our candidate for us anyway. They are telling you to vote for Obama and most people are falling for it. They are going to smear the hell out of him if/when he gets the nomination. I feel your pain regarding this dilemma.

23. the iraq war vote helped me decide
i was on the fence a few months ago as well, until i saw footage of him speaking out on the iraq war vote in 2002. if you believe the iraq war is the number one issue we face as a country today, then obama is your logical candidate of choice. he opposed it from the start, which in my opinion, shows bravery as well as great judgment. not only did he oppose it from the start however, he accurately predicted the difficulties that an occupation would bring. watch him speak for himself:

either is better than mccain though.

24. Keep watching Obama's body language and
pompous demeanor. Then imagine that being the man who is supposed to be the "uniter." Look at some of the obvious conceit he shows openly in some of the pictures posted on DU. Those are not single frame exceptions. That's him to a tee!

Then consider that he doesn't have enough experience to qualify as a governor, much less the single most powerful human being on this earth. He is going to be ridiculed by international leaders who have tons more experience than he does.

Then consider that he loses everything and has to have his staff hand it to him "two minutes before he needs it." Are we kidding here that he could be president? Can you imagine the real life implications of that in the position as president ?

Then consider that Hillary has been first lady and has met with many foreign country heads already and our relationship with other other countries has never been more favorable than it was under Bill Clinton.

Then consider that I just defended Hillary when I have cold chills thinking I will only have her as my other choice. But I DEFINITELY don't want Barack as I have stated clearly in several original posts stating numerous reasons why. These above only scratch the surface.

I hope you come to that same decision. Good luck.
