to do with his race. (See Bush)
People who call out critics with accusations of racism are the ones injecting race into the conversation.
Discounting all criticism by "playing the race card" isn't going to cut it.

136. Exactly. That's been HRC's campaign's attitude since day one ...
"Just shut up and support us; She's inevitable; Submit to her being the nominee; You have no choice; How dare you peons question us! We are the Great and Powerful; Do as we say." That got old for me in, oh, about five minutes, and is a big reason I've been sickened by her campaign from the beginning.

26. Let's talk actions here. Obama was not the one who called in his
National Organization to do the local work in local chapters in Iowa.

Instead, he presumed that the good people of Iowa could handle the campaign and election work that needed doing. And Iowans rewarded him with a victory in that state.

Whereas Hillary called in her Big Dogs to set things up and too bad if they stepped on the locals who were politically active.

And she lost out to Obama as a result.

Which one acted like a person with a Messianic complex in that case?

106. Obama as Jesus

Art student's depiction of Obama as Jesus causing a stir

By NATHANIEL HERNANDEZ
Associated Press Writer
Published April 2, 2007, 9:11 PM CDT

CHICAGO -- He wears Jesus' robes and a neon blue halo, looks like Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and is causing a stir at a Chicago art school.

An undergraduate student's paper mache sculpture of Obama as a messianic figure -- entitled "Blessing" -- went on display Saturday at a West Loop gallery run by the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. By Monday, word of the piece had spread on political blogs, and the school had been flooded with calls.
David Cordero, 24, made the sculpture for his senior show after noticing all the attention Obama has received since he first hinted he may run for the presidency.

"All of this is a response to what I've been witnessing and hearing, this idea that Barack is sort of a potential savior that might come and absolve the country of all its sins," Cordero said. "In a lot of ways it's about caution in assigning all these inflated expectations on one individual, and expecting them to change something that many hands have shaped." http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory?id=3002081

Obama Says That His First Action as President Would be to Bring U.S. Troops Home from Iraq

Submitted by BuzzFlash on Sat, 01/05/2008 - 11:26am. Alerts
A BUZZFLASH NEWS ALERT

January 5, 2008

In an 11-minute interview with hometown Chicago radio broadcaster and journalist, Roland Martin, Barack Obama revealed that his first act, if elected president, would be to pull our troops out of Iraq as quickly as possible.

You can listen to the interview, conducted the morning after Obama's victory in Iowa here.

BuzzFlash has excerpted the key Iraq question and answer below. But there's a lot more interesting stuff to listen to in a rather candid, hoarse conversation between Obama and Martin.

Roland Martin: If you are elected what is the very first thing that you focus on as Commander in Chief of this country?

Barack Obama: Well, we will call in the Joint Chiefs of Staff. I will give them a new assignment and that is to bring our troops home in a careful, responsible way, but to end this occupation in Iraq. I will call in my Secretary of State and initiate the diplomacy that's needed to make sure that exit is accompanied by negotiations between the Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds.

93. "arrogant, egotistical narcissism"
is not a deal-breaker. It is practically a prerequisite for being a candidate for president. Like being 35 years of age or a native citizen. It's just the way it is. They all have it.

And by the way, the "race card" IS a real issue, and Billary played it first.

131. That's a lie, yet again hate-filled Hillary supporters can't help themselves..
- Obama graduated summa-cum-laude from Harvard Law School. And was elected president of the Harvard Law REview (which is an academic publication).

- Obama taught Constitutional Law at one of the top law shools in the country (University of Chicago). Not contract-law at the Univerity of Arkansas....

- He won an election to the US Senate on his own merit and not just on his family name.

That is infinetly more than Hillary can claim to. Even if I wouldn`t dispute that she IS intelligent and ambitious.
