I think the Obama "draw" may be the same as dogs chasing a car.

I think the Obama "draw" may be the same as dogs chasing a car.
I think many just want to see the Clinton machine go down in flames. I don't even think most of it is personal, it was the Dean machine many were after in the last election.

People don't like the media to tell us who is inevitable. People root for the underdog, because that gives us hope that some of the decisions are in our hands.

So people jump on the bandwagon that looks the most likely to throw a wrench in the conventional wisdom.

The unasked, and biggest question remains... which is the same as with the dogs chasing the car... what will they be able to do if they catch it?

1. yes, yes. we all know that Obama supporters are simply mindless
and either supporting him because he's a new shiny object or because they hate the Clintons. Edwards supporters have told us many, many times how they're the only discerning ones and how they're "visionary" for having chosen to support him- not to mention the thousands of times they've told us that he's the savior of America and the only one who could possibly win against the repukes.

2. A vote for Hillary is a vote for McCain
She fires up their base and she doesn't attract Independents. Obama is our only chance with Edwards out

4. That is my point. If all this support is really anti-Hillary or
from the perception that there are so many that are anti-Hillary that she can't win... will that serve us well?

Independents like John McCain, too. As he becomes more and more of a possibility some of the anti-Hillary vote may move to him.

At the very least, "optional" Universal Health Care and bringing in the demonized republican back into the fray in an effort to unity is not a message that will play well with the Democrats who are supporting Hillary.

Either way, Obama or Clinton, I am seeing November as not being the lock I once thought it was.

3. A vote for Obama makes McCain the next POTUS.
It is a generational thing.

5. Yeah, that is definitely part of it.
The divisions Obama is creating along the generational lines is going to be hard to overcome.

Hillary has her own divisions.

I was a Gore turned Edwards supporter. I guess I am just extremely disappointed in how this is turning out. I really thought this would be our year. I hope I catch Hillary or Obama fever soon, but that is unlikely.

I will support whoever it is, though. My hopes for the future are diminished.
