Poll question: Edwards supporters..and his endorsement...
Edited on Thu Jan-31-08 11:08 AM by TwoSparkles
Edwards supporters, I know this is a hard time for you--and I do understand
because I went through a period of real grief and disappointment when I
realized Gore wasn't running. It was hard.

I'm wondering how important an Edwards endorsement is to you during
this hard time.

1. I haven't made up my mind
I'm looking into it now...whoever he endorses really doesn't matter to me.

5. I am voting for Edwards in the primaries either way.
I respect his opinion and if he endorses a candidate then I will look at them and consider what they have to say. My fleeting hope now is that he has made a deal for a cabinet position.

10. This is what I'm hoping for...for the Edwards supporters...
Edited on Thu Jan-31-08 11:36 AM by TwoSparkles
I hope that Edward really capitalizes on his power.

He has tremendous leverage right now. He may not want to
be a king maker. I understand that. However, if he can
secure a cabinet position---and have power in an administration
to continue his fight and enact real change for the poor
and the middle class--that would be a coup for Edwards AND
his supporters.

I imagine, if Edwards does endorse---it will be for the candidate
who truly will enable Edwards to continue on with his supporters
and carry out his fight. Otherwise, I don't think he'll endorse
anyone.

As an Obama supporter---I hope that this scenario does emerge for
Edwards, so he can continue his fight against poverty and for the
middle class. I hope that both Hillary and Obama make a serious
effort to make John a major part of their cabinet, because
Edwards, the country---and his supporters--deserve that.

Besides, I don't see him endorsing anyone until after Tuesday, if even then.

7. Voting for Edwards in my states
primary - and why the hell not? If Edwards endorses, I'll listen. But as for the general principal of endorsements, Ned Lamont soured that well.

8. I'm still deciding what to do.
We have a caucus here. If we had a primary, I would vote Edwards anyway. Since we have a caucus, I'm probably not going to attend. I don't care for either Hillary or Obama, so it really doesn't matter to me which of them comes out on top. I feel like I lose either way.

9. I don't know
I supported Edwards because I believe in what he has said and he put actions behind his words. I voted for him and it is way too soon to ask. If I had liked the other two, I would not have supported Edwards. I always have hated getting emails from politicians telling me of their endorsement. Maybe I am egotistical but I like to think I am smart enough to make up my own mind.
