Edwards voters: "Down scale white"
Andrea Mitchell, Candy Crowley, and the whole line of presstitutes can just STFU. They keep pushing that only low income, under educated, struggling white guys supported Edwards and that they would all just switch over to Clinton. Besides the kind of wonderful folks like those here at DU that supported John (obviously not in the demographic the MSM is spouting), Edwards had strong labor union support. Know that the union movement has lost membership through the years, but they don't match that demo either. Maybe I'm just not seeing it, but the Walmarts, McDonalds, and Radio Shacks in the US aren't unionized, so just where are they getting their info? We all know the exit polls are unreliable, so why trust anything they quote to us?

particularly on the coasts.

I know. I tried to get them to re-evaluate all the time. A loyal bunch.

And they had Margret Carlson on hardball. Man does she ever look like pig. Especially in the snout.

16. that's Andrea's phrase
Candy talked about low income and low education, basicly low class.

23. bigoted bitch
doesn't know shit

btw, I am canvassing tomorrow for John Laesch - even more progressive than Edwards, if that is possible - gonna put that kid in Hastert's old seat. I delivered a yard sign the other day to a house in one of those 'down scale' neighborhoods - had to be 8000 sq ft on at least five acres

6. The media is desperate to label former Edwards voters as natural Hillary voters
They never stop to think that with the early pronouncements before Iowa by these same media people that Hillary was "inevitable" or "unstoppable" these same natural Hillary voters would have chosen Hillary instead of Edwards right from the start.

8. hmm; Mitchell and Crowley actually hit it on the mark I think
At least for me, and those I congregate with. Poor, struggling white guys probably did indeed go for Edward's populist message; I know I did. Did they really say we would switch over to Clinton? No, I can see most of these guys voting for McCain or Romney before they vote for Clinton; The message from all three of these candidates seems to be the same on issues that the struggling white guys care about, like fear of poverty, lack of health care, being forced to serve in the military just to pay bills.

Can I conjure up the ghost of FDR and vote for him?

If it makes you feel better, you had plenty of educated, liberal types standing with you. We worry about those same things because we care about what happens to you.

18. Don't deny your observation
about who you and similarly situated folks would gravitate toward. My beef is the way they "know" how the Edwards voter would react when they never gave him three words of analysis before he stepped away. Also disagree that his appeal was limited to such a restricted demographic. Just sorry he didn't stay through next Tues. Think a lot of folks were ready to turn out for him. Might not have won many states, but pretty certain he would have done well. There are a lot of folks in the Super Tuesday states that would have responded to a true populist such as John. Just sorry he won't be an option for the TX primary in March.

14. Media and Washington "elites." That's part of the reason for Clinton hate.
The elites really thought is was arrogant, and overly ambitious for Bill Clinton (who some in the media called "trailer trash")to thave the audacity to run for President of the US AND WIN TWICE! They never have forgiven him or his smarty-pants, plain Jane, "robo-hips" (Rush Limbaugh call) wife for accomplishing that. And surely, he had no right to have an adulterous affair in the WH and lie about it. We all know that no other President--from humble or privileged beginnings--has done such a thing and if he did, he surely would have told the truth about IF ASKED. :sarcasm:

I rember well the "ugly" remarks about Chelsea, Hillary's hips, and her preference for wearing pant suits in the WH. Anyone else remember what a big deal it was (and stupid) when Bush promised to restore dignity to the WH and one way was going to be to require no women wearing pants in the WH official offices (that only lasted for about a year.)

Although Bill and Hillary are often referred to as "insiders" in truth, they never really have been accepted or appreciated by the Washington and other political elites.
