Edwards: Can anyone please tell me why the media
is now recognizing how Edwards changed the dialog of both the Dem and Rep campaigns, but they couldn't do it while he was actually running?

I have seen several excellent articles today about John's influence and how he really did set the tone of all campaigns. Even the Republicans are talking about "change".

Why couldn't they do this why he was running? Why did they choose to ignore him, when he was so influential?

Once again, our President is being chosen by the media, and not by the people.

1. Because it's safe for them now
Before, the corporate media, which is a big part of the corporate influence John was fighting against, could not tolerate the thought of John as President, and blackballed him. When they did cover him, more often than not it was to try to discredit him. When they could find nothing substantive against him, they sneered (the haircut! the big house!).

Now that he's out of the running, in part because the media succeeded in their campaign to prevent his election, they can afford to "praise" him.

4. Seriously,
I don't want this to turn into a flippant "it's all about the hair" thread.

Why didn't he get his due while he was actually running? And why are they only recognizing his contributions now that he is out?
