Obama/McCaskill '08
Claire McCastkill (spelling?) has been going around with Obama A LOT ever since she endorsed him. Almost like a shadow, I would not be surprised if Obama nominated a woman if he got the nomination.

3. Umm McCaskill was just elected to the Senate in 2006.
There is no way she is on the ticket.

7. McCaskill is my Senator. I voted for her in '06........
But she's made a couple of really questionable votes regarding the FISA bills and telecom immunity.

If I were Sen. Obama, Sen. McCaskill would need to explain herself.

11. She'd be a symbol, not someone who could DO anything.

10. I wouldn't either. Not one bit.
It would be great theater. And I can hear the crowing of the Obama supporters, "SEE? NO SEXISM HERE!" Of course, the VEEP is always referred to as the woman's position, two steps behind and subservient. The supporters smugness would increase exponentially, sure that they were the generation free of racism AND sexism. Their self-congratulation would never end.

12. She is my Senator
And one of the reasons we control the senate.
I'd vote that ticket.
I'd prefer an Obama/Edwards or Obama/Richardson
Actually I'd rather have Edwards/(suit) but that aint gonna happen :(

13. Neither Obama, nor Clinton will choose a woman as V.P.
Bookmark it if you like. Too risky for either of them.

14. Improbable, to say the least.
Frankly, I haven't the slightest clue who Obama would choose as a running mate should he gain the nomination. I'd guess that he would tend towards picking someone with many years of Washington credentials. Biden would be an OK "fit".
