2. 9th...
...only slightly ahead of Lieberman.

Of course, when you ask how he ranks now among Democrats still actively running, I'd put him 2nd.

And, when it's a question of ranking him among Democrats still actively running and with even a remote shot of winning, he gets 1st Prize, because he's literally "in a class by himself."

6. Depends
If you mean after Graham dropped out, 4th. If while Graham was running, 5th.

But there was always only one candidate that I couldn't accept.

8. Number 1 with a bullet and I can prove it ...
Bought my first "Kerry for Nomination" and "Kerry over Bush" futures in the IEM futures market almost exactly a year ago today, never wavered since.

And I dollar-averaged by buying a bunch more when he bottomed out at 2 cents or so.

Not to rub it in or anything, but for the guy you think is the best candidate to win PLUS making $250 is a pretty good feeling. Can't beat that with a stick.

5. Kerry
6. Kucinich

I tuned in right before Graham dropped out, so I'm not sure where I would have placed him on my list.

12. Kerry was my main hope
But I really respect most of the other candidates, and my POV on issues ties closely with DK. I've tried to be from the objective side--the one that pondered not what candidate reflected my own stands on topics, but who would be the most "electable" candidate. I found myself in agreement with the voters so far in the primaries--we needed a seasoned veteran for this war (and make no mistake, the election WILL be a war) against the fascists in power now, and the toughest one had to do it. Whether he really is "bush-lite" (which I don't agree with at all!), or a candidate who actually walks the walk, we might never know, but we must choose the one who will go furthest down the line against the BFEE and survive at its termination.

Face it folks: it ain't gonna be easy, regardless of who the final nominee was going to be--the madministration has already fucked up this country badly in the last 3+ years so much that it will be at least two terms before we see the results. And unless we can also change the sway of both the House and Senate to mirror the Democratic presidency, the repukes will still have more than just their fingers in the pie. We need to control Congress, and make sure that progressive measures are taken in order to keep the promises of this country alive for generations to come.
