I think we should be respectful of all endorsements.
Edited on Tue Jan-29-08 02:49 PM by Kittycat
Regardless of who they are for. Keep in mind that all of our candidates are reaching out for support from their colleagues, whom in many cases will side against one friend for another. We should just congratulate each other on the endorsement, and leave it there. From our end - I've seen Kennedy, Kerry, etc thrown in the mud, and I don't think it's fair. I just saw Davis tossed in as well.

Unless it's Zell Miller or Lieberman - let's keep it civil. All bets are off for those two though, LOL.

edited for spelling.

2. In the end, all those who endorse a candidate (or vote/caucus for a candidiate)
should rally behind our nominee. That is the test I use. Miller didn't get behind our nominee so he is rip to be called out.

3. No kidding. When a Democrat endorses, it's a good thing for the party.
Kennedy, Kerry, Waters, Davis.

These are great people who fight for the party.

Thank you for your post.

7. agreed
the funny part is ALL candidates are vying for many of these endorsements, thus they DO mean something positive, and if it had gone the other way, the opinions here would be inverted.

10. Endorsements don't mean squat to me
I make up my mind based on the candidate, not who endorses them.

But the way some people behave around here regarding endorsements is amazing. So-and-so endorsed my candidate!:bounce: And everyone else is supposed to start fawning because of that.

Interestingly enough if somebody endorses the other candidate the people from Candidate A suddenly begin tearing down that endorser in every way possible. Funny how if that person had endorsed Candidate A they would have been having one of their celebration threads.

Maya Angelou is suddenly crap?

This is insane.

12. Okay - whoever said that is wrong!
Just like the Kennedy attacks. Really, it's all good. At least it shows that our candidates have the support of their party members.

13. They didn't say those exact words
But that was the intent behind it. Essentially, now, anybody who endorses Hillary is junk and gets shredded to pieces by certain individuals here whereas those who endorse Obama are the greatest thing since sliced bread even if they're just a small local newspaper. Gray Davis is being raked over the coals, "Toni Morrison can take Maya Angelou". Oy vey.
