7. I'm with you there
It's that added dose of Social conservatism activism that puts him above the rest in terms of scariness.

15. He's not well liked in Arkansas
and if he can't muster support in his home state, that has to give others pause, I think.

10. Ron Paul is very popular in NW Arkansas
I have seen small and large signs, even billboards, supporting him. Nothing for Huckabee, and he was our governor for years. That should tell you something about his support--NW AR is the most Republican part of the state.

9. McCain concerns me
because I've heard some independent voters say that he is their second choice, after one or the other Democratic nominees. I think it is important to come up with information to make them stop and think about him and his policies--I use what he says about the war, his age, and his lack of a health care plan right now, but I'd like to know what he'd do about the economy--if it is do what Bush is doing, then he's toast with the people I speak to. They realize that the Bush incentive is nothing.

11. Mittens
He and McCain are probably the only ones left that still have a chance of getting the nomination. Otherwise, I would say Huckabee. But I think Huckabee's mostly finished.

I've lived under 4 years of a Mittens regime here in MA. It was horrible. I think the MA voters have learned their lesson, and won't fall for a slick, lying repuke again any time soon.

12. Romney
All of the other Pukes have at least one singular redeeming position.

Mcain: Campaign Finace reform
Ghouliani: Social issue
Huckabuckneck: Economic populist and maybe a Christian who actually believes in what Christ taught.

Romney on the other hand is Bush all over again, if slightly more artiiculate.

The scary thing is, many people don´t understand why he shouldn´t make jokes about the topic of war.

Edited on Tue Jan-29-08 02:27 PM by samdogmom
Or, "scare" me because I think they're crazy? None of the above to the first concern. (I don't think any are electable.)

All of the above to the second concern.

edited for clarity.

19. All pretty much, but I'm so thankful Gulini is almost out of the running
The only thing that could possibly be as sickening as seeing Bush on TV would be seeing Rudy on the screen. My remote control just can't take the abuse much longer.

23. McCain for all the reasons already stated
He has no real life experience - went from a career in one institution - the Navy, to a career as a politician.
