had asked BHO a question and he turned. But she is clapping. If it were me i would have leaned toward him and maybe lightly touched his shoulder or whispered close to his head. But she is clearly standing still clapping and seems to not be interested in him. But it is a still so who is to know?

taken from long distance. He was probably in the upper seats because the photo is taken from up above. I work as a professional photographer and he used a long lens for that shot.

11. The "snub" subterfuge is preventing acknowledgment that Hillary applauded the surge.
THAT is the story.

Hillary snubbed Obama in Congress the day Obama announced, refusing to shake his proffered hand.

Obama didn't extend his hand to her because he was talking to someone else, ergo no snub.

Next.

it appeared to be working. At the time Obama ALSO said it was working,

http://blog.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2007/08/21/obama_clinton_both_cite_iraq_p.html

Before the Surge --she spoke out against it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKPyqRnRMkM

After the Surge she said it was a failure.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22634967/page/3/

<snip>
MR. RUSSERT: Let me turn to Iraq. You brought it up. President Bush had talked to General Petraeus the other day. General Petraeus is to report back to Congress in March. If General Petraeus says the surge is working, that reconciliation started in a big way yesterday when the Iraqi parliament said that former members of the Saddam government can participate in new government, don't pull 35,000 troops out now, keep them there for at least the remainder of the year, would you be open to that?

SEN. CLINTON: No, and here's why, Tim. The surge was certainly explained and rationalized as giving the Iraqi government space and time to make the hard decisions that they needed to make. 2007 was the deadliest year for American troops, and, you know, from my perspective, part of the reason that the Iraqis are doing anything is because they see this election happening and they know they don't have much time, that the blank check that George Bush gave them is about to be torn up.

Photos CLEARLY show that BO saw HRC coming his way. He KNEW she was there and, as a gentleman, he would naturally be expected to take her hand for a second and nod.

But he had too little class to act like a gentleman, and now shows even less class by lying about it.

Possible that I missed it however, though I did watch MSNBC until about 11 EST. Still though... even if some were making hay out of it immediately, I dont think noon the next day is a late response.

Perhaps my feeling that the whole thing is a non-issue (ala Hillary snubbing Obama in the Senate) effects my opinion on how quickly he *should* have responded. But I still cant bring myself to think it was too late.

74. these threads remind me of Fox interviews with 5 or 6 guests yelling at the same time saying nothing
really loud not actually yelling at anyone in particular..

77. Here's how Hillary Clinton handled a similar situation:
I attended the Alabama Democratic Conference where she spoke and where she was endorsed by this mostly African American organization. At the end of her talk, I went up front to shake her hand. Just as she was about to take my hand, someone on her other side said something to her. She took my hand anyway and held it while she responded to the other person. After several (15-30) seconds of replying to the third party and continuing to hold my hand, she then turned to me and waited to hear what I was going to say to her. There were no cameras, and I am nobody special, but Hillary Clinton thought enough of me to be courteous. Good manner do matter.

i can't believe it, i don't know what to do with myself...
i have all this irrational hatred i need to spew forth, and now no outlet for it.
i don't know how to live in a world where people aren't arguing over a handshake.
up is down, left is right, and hillary's not a hawk. everything is backwards.
