12. Kind of what I expected
Hillary could buddy up to Murdoch, authorize war with Iran, and sell out to big corporations tomorrow and Hillbots would remain loyal. Oh, forgot, that already happened.

Sounds like Bush type stubborness.

23. Clintons petty behavior?

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2007/08/03/clinton-obama-tensions-spill-into-the-senate/

The relationship began to change, according to several Democrats who are friendly to both senators, when Mr. Obama began musing aloud about a presidential bid. The day he opened his exploratory committee, several Senate observers said, he extended his hand and said hello on the Senate floor. She breezed by him, offering a cool stare.

24. It will have an impact
I'm at ground zero here in Iowa.

I know first hand what kind of impact Kennedy had for Kerry in '04, especially here in Northeast Iowa.

This year, when the endorsements were being thrown back and forth before the holidays everyone was wondering about the big three: Kerry, Kennedy, and Gore.

Obama is 2 for 3, with Gore outstanding so far.

Kerry wasn't so big, in that he has the big "L" on his back as Gore did when Gore endorsed Dean.

Kennedy has a hell of a lot more weight than Kerry and no big "L." You can break out all the Hannity tapes you want calling Kennedy a drunk, fat, Irish, etc., but he has weight. It amazes how Dems have picked up the ability to Fox News their own now.

The Hillbots can scream all they want, but Ted will make a difference for Obama. He made the extra difference for Kerry in Iowa that put Kerry over Edwards. I was here, I remember the first Zogby poll that put Kerry ahead by 5. It was only a couple of days after Kennedy and Kerry came to the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds in Davenport, Iowa. Kennedy gave an unbelievable speech and Kerry just rode the wave.

Add Gore to Kennedy here in '08 and it could really put some minds at ease of the voters who are still wringing their hands about how electable a black man is.

In the end those Democrats who say they would support Obama except for the fear of his blackness, will only be left with the stark reality of their own racist thoughts and the fact that it's the person they see in the mirror everyday that can't bring themselves to vote for a black man.

The Democratic Party is the original racists before the parties flipped.

It's not to say that there aren't legit Hillary and Edwards supporters here. But I'm not talking about you ... I'm talking about the Democrat who says they can't decide, they're not leaning any one way, but they just don't think America will vote a black man into the White House.

Truth ... they won't vote a black man into the White House.

In that case, you're right. It won't matter who endorses Obama, even if it were Barry Manilow, Kenny G., and Michael Bolton ... they would still vote for someone who is white.

But this isn't 1968, it's 2008 and young voters are turning out in droves, as are those who are sick of racist America and like Barack Obama.

I saw them at the caucus, they are out there in mass and those sitting on the fence are joining in.

The endorsements do matter, maybe not to the hardcore, but to the hundreds of thousands who are NOT political news junkies surfing through DU, huffington, or raw story, they're lucky to see the evening news or get a glance at the headlines. Those are the people who it will affect, and believe me they're the majority.

Will Gore have an impact ... not only yeah, but hell yeah.

29. This is so ridiculous.
Why would my vote shift because of an endorsement? I think people who shift based on the endorsement of the day can't really be true supporters of anyone. An intelligent, well informed voter will think for themselves.
