Poll question: If you felt someone had been lying about you, would you want to shake their hand?

And if their spouse had been attacking your relentlessly and in a way even the public felt was unfair.

Give Obama time. Eventually he will be hugging Hillary just like McCain hugged Bush who had trashed him in SC.

4. I'd probably try and avoid them if at all possible
Maybe if I had a friend there that was also known to that other person I might let him be the buffer between us and just try and let the moment pass unremarkably.

6. Obama claims he will work with the Republicans. He better get used to shaking
hands with people he doesn't like. Because his spat with the Clintons is a walk in the park compared to what the Repubs will dish out.

10. Do you think McCain felt like shaking Bush's hand after South Carolina?
Tensions are running high right now but I am sure everyone will kiss and make up after this is all over. McCain even ended up hugging Bush years later.

19. No, I applaud Webb for it. -- Bush Basically threatened his son's life.
**I** Don't think we need to make nice with the Republicans.
I would like to crush them into non-existence.
But since **Obama** Says he can work with them, he needs to demonstrate it by working with members of his own party first.

20. I would give anyone a pass during a heated campaign.
Tensions are running high and everyone is under incredible stress. Hard feelings are just inevitable until the campaign is over and people have time to cool off. Thats just human nature. He probably should have sucked it up and shook her hand no matter how unfair he feels she has been but I don't blame him for not wanting to shake her hand at this time and I don't think that will effect his ability to work with her later. McCain hated Bush too after SC and probably still does but they work together. I can't believe Obama is any less mannered than John McCain.

11. It's stupid little mistakes like this that win or lose elections!
Remember the glance at the watch by GH Bush? The clever response "I knew Jack Kennedy, and YOU'RE no Jack Kernnedy"? The Akaka moment? All of those things were moments caught on tape. Every candidate has to remember, he/she is always being watched by somebody, and every move they make will be judged. Whatever happened there tonight, it LOOKED BAD.
