7. Faith Based closed and Dodd says, return our Constitution and rights.
Nancy didn't even try to do it.

http://news.yahoo.com/;_ylt=AtSWoOUO9PdB4_HD7DVXq11v24cA Look at Nancy Pelosi leaning over to Cheney. Is she close to him so she's safer? Has feelings for the great VP Fascist leader? Very strange.

10. That's a lot of billions going to the clergy and Christian lobby
Check Americans United for Separation of Church and State and see how much. It's been taken out of our treasury without our approval. My religious group protests this money so they get little. But then they can be free to worship as the please.

Bush silences the clergy because they won't get money if they don't go along and speak out on his policies. Afro-American church members should not allow their clergy to do this to their democracy.

It is treasonous on more than one front since it goes to favored religious groups (for political power and agenda).

5. Faith Based cronyism for votes
We are in debt and religious organizations are doing better than public ones...with out tax dollars. It is unconstitutional. Impeach him.

Do ya get the feeling he is making a state religion?

6. There should be no such thing
Unless they want the same rules and oversights as secular charities. They shouldn't be able to take tax dollars then claim exemption from state/federal regulations because they're "religious". This both ways garbage is too much.

12. They grow very fat and influencial on that money
Tax exempt status was to be used for the poor, needy, etc. Instead the clergy uses it for buildings and political support. It is destroying our democracy.

Impeach Bush. Impeach and put out of office House Leader Pelosie who turns a blind eye for her religious group.

8. Bill Clinton signed legislation creating the first faith-based initiative program.
Uncle Sam's Offering Plate

Church-state separationists are understandably concerned about the White House Office for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, which has put billions into the pockets of religious organizations--in open defiance of the First Amendment's establishment clause. But who signed the legislation that created the faith-based initiative program in the first place? President Bill Clinton, as part of the 1996 welfare reform bill: http://civilliberty.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?zi=1/XJ&sdn=civilliberty&cdn=newsissues&tm=117&f=10&tt=3&bt=0&bts=0&zu=http%3A//www.trincoll.edu/depts/csrpl/RINVol8No1/FaithBasedInitiativeReups.htm

13. Ya the great equalizer public schools are the Neo Cons
enemy. Many religious schools aren't better. They hire low wage teachers (who are mostly trained in our public teaching colleges). Whose fooling who?
