I don't know how he could think that.

I found that out when I disagreed with Crawford and his support for Imus. Just letting you know.

8. Not to me, Craig Crawford has, without exception, shamelessly promoted HRC on Keith's show ...
Edited on Mon Jan-28-08 08:21 PM by ShortnFiery
I'm disgusted with Craig Crawford's constant and shameless shilling for all things CLINTONIAN. If you can bring-up a video from a couple of weeks ago when Craig Crawford admitted that he was "hyped up" on pain meds for his foot, you will SEE a TRULY *SHAMELESS Clinton Shill* type behavior from Craig Crawford. Even Obermann made a grimace after that drug-induced Clinton ass kissing soliloquy from good ole doped-up Craig. What a tell?!? :eyes:

I wish that MSNBC would have to QUALIFY both Craig Crawford and Joan Walsh as "Clinton Operatives." Why? They have NOT EVER had positive things to say about Obama. All Craig and Joan do is PROMOTE the "illustrious" Clinton Machine.

I have lost all respect for these two Clintonian Operatives parading as OBJECTIVE JOURNALISTS. They do NOTHING but KISS DLC Clintonian ASS! :grr: :nuke:

9. Because to a lot of us his comments were NOT racist!!!!!
What both Bill and Hillary said were misconstrued and taken out of context. Saying that someone's position on an issue is a "fairytale" is NOT racist. Saying that MLK's dream became a reality when LBJ passed the Civil Rights Act in 1964 is NOT racist. Answering a question during breakfast at a diner regarding Obama's win in SC and mentioning that Jesse Jackson won there twice is NOT racist and JJ even came out so say as much.

What IS racist to some of us is that no one can dare to question Obama on anything because the race card is immediately flashed.

This isn't a coronation and he needs to EARN his votes, just like every other candidate!!!!!

17. Maybe so,
but the media fanned the flames and demonized the Clintons while the Obama campaign played along by remaining silent and passing around a memo. Remember the memo that Russert questioned Obama on at a debate?

25. I like Robinson, but he should know better than to look for code words!
How is criticism of Obama's stance on the Iraq war by calling it a fairytale a racist remark????????? He NEVER questioned Obama's candidacy, just his assertion that he was against the war while he still kept financing it once in the senate. He was basically calling him a hypocrite, rightly or not, but it still had no racial overtones. His comments could have been used on any candidate of any race.

Are we so hypersensitive in this country that we have to walk on eggs and give a candidate a free pass because, God forbid, someone may think that one's remarks are racist???

15. If African Americans (the people who KNOW racism) didn't interpret "Bubba's" comments as racist
how in the hell do you explain HRC losing 2x over? Or as the smarmy HRC operative would quip: Obama beat The Clintons in SC like a bad piece of meat. Bill Clinton played "The Southern Strategy" and those AMERICANS who KNOW what racism is, e.g., African Americans, handed The Clintons their political ass. In fact, The Clintons will not ever make amends after the DEPLORABLE race-baiting that HRC's husband did in SC.

23. The Clintons, by their campaigning, encourage race baiting ...
You have no idea but as a woman who was ONE out of THIRTY men enrolled during 1979 in one of the first classes of Airborne school open to females, I have a *slight inkling* of what it is to be "put under a microscope."

People of color experience that scrutinizing every DAMN day within certain neighborhoods. I suggest that they are FAR FROM STUPID nor ULTRA-SENSITIVE. What Bill Clinton did was deplorable and anyone with an objective mind in the South KNEW that "Bubba" was attempting to race bait.

27. And you don't think that Hillary doesn't know how it feels
to be in the minority as a woman who has broken many barriers in her lifetime?????????

Obama is lucky that nobody has scrutinized him the way Hillary has ben scrutinized during this campaign. Everybody cries racism, but where were these same people when Hillary had been vilified month in and month out by the media in terms that are nothing less than sexist and misogynist????

Why is sexism not considered as vile as racism???????????

19. I remember members of my ultra-right wing conservative family PARADE certain people of color up
as "not minding" segregation. That's pure unadulterated BULLSHIT! Just because Jesse Jackson, in the interest of reconciliation, is gracious - that, in NO WAY detracts from the clear race baiting that Bill Clinton was attempting to accomplish.

I thank GOD that, this time, it blew up in The Clintons' faces. It's rare, but sometimes, a higher power intervenes in favor of racial justice. It gives me the ounce of hope that I can hold onto in the CONTINUING STRUGGLE toward the full realization of Civil Rights. :-)

As an African-American, I'm not offended by his comments at all.

He was correct. You might not like that he was correct, but he was.
