Why do I feel like that kid in the Mountain Dew ad?
Looking back at this primary season, I cannot help but feel dismayed. We've had some interesting candidates running for the Democratic nomination, covering the entire political spectrum from it's nutjob extremes (remember, LaRouche was running, too, and if he's not a nutjob, who is???).

It looks like Kerry will be the Democratic Party's nominee. There were stronger progressive nominees available, but they lost for myriad reasons, some our fault as voters, some their fault as candidates, and some the media's fault (like the "Yeahhhhhh! video shot, seen more times than Janet's Superbowl unmentionables). Of the 10 candidates, Kerry was my third from last choice, after Leibermann and LaRouche.

So here I sit after Super Tuesday, feeling like the kid in the Mountain Dew ad after his dad took the last can of soda that the kid and Tommy had been fighting over.

"We got hosed, Tommy....we got hosed."
