A Sad day in the history of the United States
when two members of the same corrupt secret society of bankers, politicians and spooks will, for the first time in history, be our only two choices for President.

Now I must rally behind somone I have no trust or confidence in because the alternative is like being Satan's Eunuch.

Either way I am sad and worried for our future tonight.

Mark my words: Kerry is NO Clinton. He will not be able or even willing to undo what Bush has started. We will need to continue to agitate for reforms if Kerry is to do ANYTHING progressive.

I hope I am wrong. I am happy for the true believers in Kerry who are in denial about this "problem" and who are excited about unseating Bush.

I am not optimistic that he will be unseated but I have hope.

But I am confient of one thing about Kerry. He could not possibly be worse than Bush. I suppose I could be wrong about that too.

Prayer time

80. Did you ever read HR2977, The Space Preservation Act of 2001?
The original language mentioned "mind control", as well as a lot of other things-all the text pertaining to "exotic weapons" was disappeared from the revision, HR3616/The Space Preservation Act of 2002.
CNN, MSNBC, all the media is one form of mind control/behavior modification, the Internet another. The media is now all about reinforcement schedules, IMHO.

Here is a link to HR2977, including the exotic weapons section. Once again, Dennis Kucinich is in advance of most of us, but his concern is all of US.

DU can't/won't/shouldn't shut down just because Kerry wins. It needs to remain a voice for the real party.

5. Send your thoughts to Hannity and co.
The world is about to be bombarded with remarks about how "Liberal John Kerry is" from the right.

As far as your concern, while Kerry has been somewhat of a dissapointment to me, I still think he is much much mich better than Bush. He is not a "slight improvement".

Geronimo.

All offense intended to the society which robbed his grave and keeps his skull as a trophy and symbol of their power.

Even the limited-hangout history of S&B, Alexandra Robbins' Secrets of the Tomb, confirms the outrage.

Would a President Kerry decree that Geronimo's remains be returned?

He would never demand such a humanitarian gesture as an apology for his personal participation in the club which not only robbed Geronimo's grave, but allegedly many others, as well.

Loyalty to the 'frat' club, ya know. Just beer and stupidity. Oh yeah, and graverobbing too.

98. Sadly, I was joking.
Some bonds, for some people, are stronger than those of blood and country.

Americans don't need to believe Skull & Bones is a branch of the Illuminati to be worried about its untoward and unhealthy private influence upon public life.

And this isn't some youthful indiscretion for Kerry. To this day, according to Alexandra Robbins, he uses "322" as a code, and in 1986 he surprised Yale junior Jacob Weisberg, now editor of Slate, with a "tap" to join Skull and Bones. (As described in Robbins' Secrets of the Tomb.)

Weisberg had been interning at the New Republic, and received a call from Kerry's secretary to come to his office. Weisberg asked what it was about, and she said Kerry wouldn't tell her. Just that he wanted to see Weisberg the next morning.

Weisberg was stunned to learn Kerry wanted to invite him to join Skull and Bones.

They argued for a while - Weisberg was surprised that someone supposedly liberal would associate with S&B - and after Weisberg made it clear he wasn't interested, Kerry wouldn't accept No. He asked that Weisberg promise to think about it further.

Weisberg called Kerry's office later and was put straight through, and told him flatly he was rejecting the offer. Kerry expressed his disappointment.

38. one small consideration
I'm sure others can chime in with more if they wish.

The two pro Iraq War, pro Patriot Act, pro War on Terror (TM) candidates absolutely dominated the rest of the field, composed of anitwar candidates. One time supporters of erstwhile "grassroots"/"populist"/"antiwar" candidates deserted their champions to cast their lot with one of the two electable pro status quo candidates, while the two candidates who have been straight with the electorate on virtually every issue, and who have been vindicated repeatedly on their unpopular opinions, collect single digit voting totals in virtually every state. Message from electorate: Just get rid of Bush. The fact that the apparent nominee offers a platform not particularly different from Bush's on any number of matters of import, is unimportant.

John Kerry will give a brilliant concession speech in November. He'll soar to new rhetorical heights as he congratulates George Bush for a hard-fought fight and pledges to work with him for a better America. He'll be even more generous than Al Gore!

It's something to look forward to. He'll make us all proud to be American.

He's the only (remaining) candidate who offers any real alternative to bush. When Kerry bothered to show up to vote, he supported the PATRIOT act and the occupation of Iraq. Clearly, bush f'd up the economy to the point where wall street needed a different leader. Kerry, mr scull-and-bones, is the chosen one.

Vote your conscience - vote Kucinich in the primaries... and at the democratic convention. Its our only opportunity for a clear choice between bush and something better. Much, much better.

39. Hi, David. Regarding who's had to pay and who hasn't...
...I hadn't considered it from that angle, but now that you mention it, I hope the matter is raised by the media generally and by Kate Bierne (sp?) of Capital Gang specifically. I think it would give Kate the national profile recognition she otherwise lacks owing to her vast absence of talent as a journalist. Bush's mind might be so coke-addled that he can't cough up the details, but she could threaten him with a pretzel and I'm sure we'd get the whole story then.

Christ, it's late and it's clear I don't know what I'm saying.

56. That's true...
This could just be another clever S&B strategy to deflect us from the real issues!

Truthfully, most progressives I have met (not all, but most) are everyday people who somehow came to the realization that the system is not in their favor. That is why they want to change it.

But one does not have to be cognizant of S&B to know the system is not geared towards the poor and disenfranchised.

:hi:

LC, could you possibly list for us--just one-liners would be fine--what exactly Kerry's committed to change, and how and by what amount he's planning to do it?

I'm feeling pretty seriously depressed by yesterday, and by what I think I know about today's Kerry. So if you can boost my spirits that would be wonderful. I'm sure others would welcome it, too!

91. Hi.
I saw your post about boosting your spirits. Here is my answer: I am very sorry that DK did not win. He is the candidate closest to my heart ideologically. He actually is my dream candidate.

But, I am not sure if it is my job to list how Kerry plans to change things. I have listed a lot of stuff on this site, and I have decided not to do so anymore. I am not even sure I understand what you mean.

All Kerry can do, as any candidate can do, is work within the framework of our government. Certainly, simply reversing what Bush did will be change enough to begin with, if Kerry wins.

The fact that Kerry will be presenting to Congress a bill for universal health is one big reason I supported him.

If you want to research it yourself, you can go to johnkerry.com.

and read what is there may be the place to start. Anyone else can do the same , if they are concerned. Of course, if Kerry is not your preferred nominee, I fully believe not voting is as valid as voting for some people. Voting is a private matter in many ways.

Best of luck to you, and I hope you feel better.

LC

63. I have relatives who were in Bones., Secrecy is part of the mystique
I also attended school with several and have been to their homes.

It is chillingly spooky.

The lists - as I put on another thread here, of names was leaked so we can see that the captains of industry and the heads of CIA dirty tricks operations were members.

Also - the men who financed Hitler from Yale were Skull members.

Plenty is known.

If I was not so close to these elites I would NOT be so concerned probably. But I know them.

But credible reporters and whistleblowers HAVE been able to get information out and

here is the best article I have found (most credible) on the subject):

It has been out there for a long time. I found the list several years ago and on the membership list are many fine liberals and even left radicals.

67. by light of that same article then
Which speaks of cliques within that elite fraternity, depending on other relationships and generations. It has been noted the marked contrast between W's cynical and war evading class and the traditional responsible warrior of Kerry's.

Since Kerry markedly departed from the status quo on Vietnam we are led by inference to believe has been waiting in stealth, performing enthusiastic and heroic tasks for liberal causes? His Bonesmates then and contacts since have been proven as evil as the supposedly malign Nader contacts in those formational college days?

Outside the mumbo jumbo of initiation, such warped cabalism extended into world domination destroys the rationality of human beings. Self interest and advancement, political philosophy and ambition are another matter. This is what you get from having these elite schools that in and of themselves are initiations into the privileged elites of the nation, moreso than from being a frat buddy. Bush himself hardly seems to take that society too seriously. Are they Masons? Are they card carrying members of other cult legends, puppets, stooges, plants? Bush looks out for number one and would sell out his buddies in a heart pause. Kerry pursues what is right for the people with similar unconcern.

If elitism is uncomfortably concentrated in a class and connection school system, that I would think is a legitimate issue. It is not unusual for the shapers of an entire generation to be so clustered and raised up whether they side with each other or not. One can support a Kennedy(an iffier moral proposition in hindsight) or a Kerry and still be determined to address that situation.

Judging from Kerry's life I think trying to infect his record with this poison is true paranoia, especially as it somehow let's W off the hook in some mysterious fashion and neglects that Kerry as a mole or fake liberal would entail a descent into the same insanity such a pretender must fall into.

And this is coming from an Edwards supporter who would like to see this elite stranglehold broken, the power of money democratized and whose candidate has also been subject to such fears the closer he got to nomination. I think another elitist(Republican dynasty) rich Dem President said something about fear itself.

As the winds of climate change cross over the parched reef of the jobless and the homeless wonder from one corporate prison to another I will find myself, my family and my fellow citizen staring gape-faced into the "how the fuck did this happen" high of disbelief.

- Welcome, welcome my friend to the new DU where...

64. I guess not - not against the Bonesmen
But now we need to retrench.

Regroup.

Revise.

Reenlist.

Redo.

We now have a new dawn ahead. And it looks pretty bleak to many of us.

How can we make it better?

I, for one, want Kerry to address this Bones business and say he renounces the oaths - and that they supercede his oaths of office.

70. Oh, For Heaven's Sake
"when two members of the same corrupt secret society of bankers, politicians and spooks will, for the first time in history, be our only two choices for President."

Is this your first presidential election? It was always thus. We haven't had a true "outsider" as pres. since electricity was invented. If even before that. Get a grip and vote for the guy you think will make the best leader of the country. Or don't, and let others decide.

Clinton wasn't exactly without money men pulling his strings, and he was no stranger to Washington. He was wrong as often as he was right, and I say that as a fan of his. Politics. It's called compromise.

76. It is the first time that it is a Skull Vs Skull presidential race
THAT is what I was saying

These men have taken an oath of secrecy and allegiance to the "Order". They also revealed their sexual histories to each other. This is a form of blackmail to "keep" the secrets secret.

It is vile and revolting.

It is not just compromise - it is corruption.

That said - I hope Kerry is a better human being than Bush. But that would not be saying much at all if he were.
