What do think of John Kerry's remarks?
I just found them on the front page of his website:
http://www.johnkerry.com/

So I read them but I didn't see them on TV. But anyway, I've never been a Kerry supporter, but I think that he said some great things. My favorites:

"And let me thank John Edwards for his generous statement tonight. He brings a compelling voice to our party – great eloquence to the cause of working men and women"

"Let me also congratulate Howard Dean. Today, we are reminded again of the unprecedented contribution he has made to this party and this country by bringing so many into the political process."

"My campaign is about replacing doubt with hope, and replacing fear with security."

"The Bush Administration has run the most arrogant, inept, reckless, and ideological foreign policy in modern history."

3. If campaign speeches were copyrightable...

...and Mr. Dean had a good intellectual-property lawyer, Mr. Kerry would already be broke.

9. Interesting observation
5 out of 8 posts are bashes and you've got a problem with Kerry supporters. Some days I think Anne Coulter is right, we are a bunch of 3 year olds.

14. It's not the content..
It's the length. He needs to scale it down and hit certain themes, rather than rattle off a bunch of statements. It sounds like a State of the Union Address, and it's too long. I know that Kerry fans can't hear enough, but that is my honest opinion, and I want him to do well.

19. same here too----since Kerry is the nominee, he needs to know
how to work the people angle and to have speeches that are short, concise, and full of emotional power that resonates with people. That's why I liked Dean, Clark, and Edwards because their passion came forward as being genuine. I'd like to see a different kind of passion in Kerry that will help him connect with voters. It's time to trump up the "likeability" card instead of the "electability" card now that Kerry is the nominee. Think about it this way, people dislike Bush with an intense passion. We've got to give them a Dem nominee who voters really want to like and feel inspired to vote for. This is very crucial in the general election.

16. I saw the speeches in a bar. People were riveted to Edwards's
speech. Conversation started about 45 seconds into Kerry's.

22. There was a difference..
Kerry has won before so victory speeches aren't new anymore... people were quiet because they wanted to hear what Edwards said and if he would acknowledge the end of his campaign.

Two different angles coming from the speeches.

17. I've heard his stump speech so many times -
I like it - but I'm ready for some new lines. I have to defy the CW and say I think Kerry does best when he is speaking extemporaneously. That is when his depth of knowledge and experience shine through. Ronald Reagan proved that an actor can deliver a good speech, but that's not all I'm looking for in a leader.

21. I agree completely...
I like what Kerry is saying, I just wish he'd come up with more than one way to say it. And I second your thoughts on Kerry thinking on his feet. The debates will be a slaughter.

The nature to attempt to take away from others what he himself does not have.
That is not someone I give my piggy bank cash to.

24. Can't stop
Kerry can't stop fabricating the truth about reforming Nafta. More of the same tonight. Nader won't let him get away with it..Maybe if Nader educates Kerry, I might be able to vote for Kerry.

26. Maybe you are cushy rich and no job worries.
But if not, then your partianship causes you to not worry about whether or not your job might be shipped overseas tomorrow.
