It's clear to me that the Rs think they can win by sticking to the themes of "Islamic terrorism" and illegal immigration and are loath to talk about the economy, unless it is to offer their only solution (tax cuts). And to deflect criticism of the Iraq war, they simply label any suggestion of slowing or stopping it as "raising the white flag of surrender." McCain said this at least twice during his interview with Tim Russert today, so get ready to hear it about 1,000 more times if he is the nominee.

1. Perhaps we should
counter with, "We won. We toppled Saddam, planted the seeds of democracy now it's time to let the Iraqi people have their country back."

White flag of surrender. What bullshit. Who are we surrendering to? Someone needs to ask McCrap that question. Both the Sunni and the Shia hate Al Qaeda so it's not likely that AlQaeda wins anything if we leave.

5. That's a great line and I hope the Dem. nominees use it in debates against the Rs.

6. That will be OK,
as long as the Dems show his speeches on Haiti and Somalia, in which he says the opposite is true. Can you say the word "hypocrite"? I knew you could.
