If the GE were tomorrow, and either Obama or Clinton
was the Dem candidate, after the shit that's gone down during the past month from both the Clinton and Obama camps, I'd boycott the election. I'm sick and tired of holding my nose at the polls.

1. Then you better smile when President Huckabee is sworn in.

2. Well, if it were Huckabee, that would be the populist message there,
which the Democatic party seeks to squelch! Irony of ironies.....

3. The fact that a right-wing nut like Huckabee is pushing a populist message
suggests that perhaps the populist message is a bit overrated.

Sound policy should be preferred over demagoguery.

18. Huckabee does not believe in evolution--and he thinks women should
...submit to their man "gracefully." Oh, and he wants two amendments to the Constitution:

no gay marriage / no abortion

not populist. Freaky. I will tell him where to submit.

11. The candidate WILL be McCain
and we need to be concerned about that.
I would guess that it will be easier for republicans to hold their nose to vote for HIM that it will be for some Democrats to vote for one of our divisive candidates.

4. Oh come on, WWJED?
I like Edwards too, but I am certain HE would support the eventual nominee whomever it may be.

If he throws in the towel he'll tell us to do so as well.

I really have no affection for Clinton but I wouldn't have to "hold my nose" to vote for her over any of the GOP would-be rulers.

5. Say hello to 2 more Scalias and a Thomas on the Supreme Court
then.

I don't think that is what Edwards would do or want you to do. Believe me, I'm pissed at the Clintons right now and have had the feelings you've expressed...but I need to save my country this November and though I bet it will be painful, I will try to do it.

10. You think one vote would have such monumental consequences? What planet do you live on?
Besides, I wouldn't trust either Clinton or Obama to deviate much from the current precipitous path this country has been going on.

Regardless of who wins the GE, if it's not Edwards, then perhaps it's about time to kiss this fucked up country a long good-bye and expatriate to a more civilized corner of the world.

29. The thing is...you posted this for public consumption...
and I actually recognize your log-in name from other posts. You've had some good ones. So we're really talking about far more than one vote here. By posting this, you persuade others.

I do believe even Hillary Clinton would appoint the right supreme court justices. My first choice for one would be John Edwards.

Just how Conservative would you like the Supreme Court to be?

How many acres of Alaska would you like logged?

and the list goes on.

You must be very young and exceedingly foolish to think that my lone vote would make such a monumental difference.

14. Snark away.
And go help the Republicans by withholding your vote for our nominee.

It's your choice.

It's a shame too.

Which it looks like I'll be using.

17. I'll be voting for Edwards Feb. 5, but I haven't received the GE ballot yet, so I
don't know if it will have a write-in-option. If it does, I'll write Edwards in if it comes down to that.

How did you get your GE ballot so soon?

27. I understand the sentiment
and feel somewhat the same but I would vote in the GE for the Dem nominee. My disgust with the republicans far outweighs any disgust I feel with the Dem candidates.
