So, apparently, Clinton campaign unleashed a last minute phone blitz in SC
http://thepage.time.com/transcript-of-clinton-call-2/

Voice: Hello, This is the Hillary Clinton for President Campaign.
Before you vote on Saturday, you should know that John Edwards voted for permanent trade relations with China. That’s right, John Edwards voted for the bill that cost thousands of jobs. Like the ones in the textile mills he talks about so much down here.

You should also know that John Edwards made nearly a half a million dollars working for a Wall Street investment fund. A fund that’s been profiting on foreclosing on the homes of families; including 100 homes right here in South Carolina. That’s according to The State newspaper. Here in South Carolina, Edwards says he’s one of us, but up on Wall Street he was just another one of them.

Can you trust John Edwards? This call is paid for by the Hillary Clinton for President Campaign.

1. Saying and Doing Anything.
I think most of us can see how desperate The Clinton's have become.

Hillary, I trust John more than I trust you.

2. Oh, and we forgot to mention...
Voice: ...that John Edwards spends too much on hair cuts, has a large house, and is too pretty to lead this nation. Oh, and he farts in bed.

Thank you for listening, and please remember to vote for Hillary Clinton.

3. Has Time/CNN or the author Mark Halperin
confirmed that this was actually done by the Hillary Clinton campaign? Is there a name to go with the voice?

I find this one actually hard to believe, and I've been one of Hillary's most ardent campaign tactic critics here on DU.

Whoever did this call, it's right down there with the 2000 SC republican smear "push poll" of John McCain. Never proven, but I think one of Karl Rove's disciples was responsible for that despicable act.

Just ugly.

9. The Clinton campaign confirmed it themselves
They said it was in response to Edwards attack ads running against her in SC.

4. Hopefully, Edwards will support Obama if he doesn't get
the nod himself. These dispicable tactics are one of many reasons I am beginning to really despise the Clinton machine.

5. Hey, Edwards supporters are not
commodities. We are not bought and sold, thank you very much. We decide what we want to do, and who to support. And right now, I wouldn't support either Clinton or Obama. And Obama supporters have made me want to vote for Clinton over Obama.

6. This is why the majority of Dems I know would never vote for the Clintons
The way Hillary Clinton and Bill have been smearing Edwards and Obama with this robocalling bullshit, shows that they would rip apart the Democratic Party and damage the country for their own personal gain. They are pathological narcissists.

8. Just like the fake HC campaign video circulating. Just say you are from the HC
camapign and folks will believe it. A lot of these lies will be exposed over the course of the campaign just like the lies about the Clinton when they left the WH.

10. Nonsense
Clinton team response from spokesman Mo Elleithee: “John Edwards has been running negative TV ads against Senator Clinton for weeks. It was important to correct the record.”

11. But...
This robocall didn't correct any negative stuff that was in an Edwards ad. It just smeared Edwards. So their explanation doesn't hold.

12. I don't care about their explanation
I provided it for the Clinton supporter who was so sure it was a fake charge against Clinton that there even were robo calls against Edwards. The Clinton campaign acknowledged they were behind the calls is the point.

15. Will she go that low
against the Republican? If she wants it that badly, fine, but I want to see her get down in the mud and go after the Repug nominee.

I'll be watching. Because if she was willing to do it against Obama and against Edwards, but she doesn't do it against the Repug, then I think we will know all we ever need to know about her.

16. According to my sister in SC<
the Hillary campaign called her after the polls closed to ask her who she had voted for! What the fuck was that about? Do the Clintons' plan on exiling those who supported OBama or Edwards once she takes the throne, I mean the presidency?
