EDWARDS PEOPLE! Want to help JRE stay and fight? DONATE!
https://www.johnedwards.com/action/contribute/form
Possibly the single best way to demonstrate, in no uncertain terms, that we're still backing JRE and will continue to do so through the convention!

Also, please work the phones and continue to help with direct mail and door-to-door efforts. As before, based on the groups in which JRE has shown the most strength and hit pay dirt so far, it would probably be optimal to focus on the following demographics in particular:

(1) Senior citizens and retirees. A basic, simple, bread-and-butter message works best, so hammer it in: JRE is the progressive most in line with FDR and LBJ, and will fight the hardest against the corrupt corporate bigwigs to protect pensions, Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid for seniors and everyone else

(2) Women. JRE is one of the strongest voices in favor of protecting women's reproductive rights and other important gains made in the past half-century.

(3) Working-class voters. Edwards is the most powerful voice taking the side of hard-hit American workers against the corrupt corporate class, and this is another of his natural demographics!

(4) Union members. Same reason as above.

(5) Latinos! Very important for the Super Tuesday states! Most Latinos I've talked with take well to Edwards especially when they hear his stands and learn about the way he stands up for the working-class concerns that Latinos, in particular, find important.

Thus for those of you with Spanish-language skills, help craft Spanish-language ads and do outreach for the Latino voters out there!

John plans on staying in this race and continuing to fight hard for progressive causes, and especially at such a critical time, we have to do everything we can as his supporters. Remember, JRE's message can reverberate only if we make sure it is heard! At our post-primary meet-up tonight, not one of the JRE supporters was showing despondence-- John had a strong showing tonight when he had been predicted by many to be in the single digits not long ago, and most importantly, JRE continues to rack up delegates and perform well in the debates.

Among many undecided Democrats I talk to, JRE is increasingly emerging as a "consensus candidate" who is extremely electable as well as being progressive. No matter what occurs in the subsequent states (and many of these are the types of Midwestern states where JRE has some natural advantages), JRE is the most insistent campaigner for progressive causes, and we absolutely need to continue helping him win delegates to be a decider in the convention, whatever form that takes. So let's get up and go, Edwards people!

1. Also, please encourage Edwards' donations on other relevant blogs
The Blogosphere has its pros and cons but perhaps above all else, it's a powerful tool to help fundraising for an important candidate. Spread the word on other blogs, provide the link and let's keep those donations pouring in!

3. I will be sending more. Because I want action, not hope.
Edwards is the one to bring action to Washington.

4. Agree-- it's action on his part
and real toughness to stand up to a bought-and-sold government.

7. read this article from Raw Story about Edwards.

Our donations are doing something.

just a snip of the article.

Edwards said he did better than he expected, which he attributed to fighting between the two other candidates that turned off some voters. He also said he's encouraged because the past two weeks have been his best yet in online fundraising.
